Questioning God will not make rebels of us anymore than praising Him will make us saints. Pay no mind to those who espoused a different view and will make a lot of noise regarding blasphemy this and blasphemy that psycho-babble blah blah. We know that God will understand. He knows better. He always does.
In questioning Him, who is and will always be, we will find the answers which have eluded us in this weird, wired, world. All we need is faith. Just a little faith as large as the mustard seed.
Personally, I have question God many times and I still feel loved by Him. Questions ranging from the childish: why did my mother have to die when I was only six making me the only one who wrote "What My Father Does On Sunday" while everyone else in my third grade class wrote "What My Mother Does On Sunday"... to the sublime: why do the wicked prosper?... now that I am a grown woman.
No, God did not descend from high heavens to reply to my questions, in some miraculous ways, but He did manifest Himself, in ways I simply cannot ignore, in the happenings and in the experiences He sent my way, which provided me with insights and strengths to, somehow, muddle through life and survived all the questioning stages of my existence, with my faith in one piece.
Yes, I am convinced that God answered all my questions, which needed to be answered, in my lifetime. He, however, lets me live with those questions of life, which are not meant to be answered immediately, but have to be lived with first, as questions, before the answers will gradually be revealed to me. Somehow I know that such is how it is meant to be. Above all, God gives me wisdom, through faith, to discern these things and still believe. He always sends help, through people in my life, when I need His help. He has never fail me.
What more can I ask?

Post a CommentI would like to ask God why dogs live only 13 years. What a raw deal. Meanwhile, turtles live 100 and crocodiles live 80. What...??? ?
When I talk with God and have questions, I realize that some of them may be just a tad bit ignorant relatively ... but God knows the nature of my curious, questioning mind (which can be a liability at times -- what was it again about that cat?), and I am sure He just smiles as He points the way to answers ... or not, which is OK too.
