Yes We Can - Change!

It's amazing how we go through life accepting the circumstances of the situations we are faced with. By "accepting", I mean simply succumbing to the belief; "This is just how my life is suppose to be". Renouncing our own responsibilities.

I believe our lives are made up of components; 5% circumstance, 10% ability, and 85% choice! Yes I said choice. We are all put here on this earth for a purpose, yet most of us never figure out what that purpose is. Why is that? Is it a result of someone failing us, or do we fail ourselves?

We all make choices; not always the right ones and those choices alone alter our path.

God gives us the free will to choose; how we choose is entirely up to us. He doesn't laden us with financial difficulties or worries; He doesn't give us addictions, or demons; He doesn't cause us grief; the path we chose unfolds into these things, as a direct result of our choices.

This election everyone spoke of change; Americans hopeful for someone who can change the world; change the economy, change the quality of their lives, and promote world peace. Why are we waiting for someone else to do for us, what we are unwilling to do for ourselves?

Be the change you want to see in this world. If you want respect, give respect. If you want consideration, be considerate. If you want hope, be hopeful. Want the U.S. to stop being wasteful, stop wasting.

Want to see peace, not war; think about that the next time you flip off, or cuss out that inconsiderate jerk who cut you off on the freeway or gets in your way at the market. How about those choice words you rattle off as you impatiently wait on the one who is taking too long backing out of that parking space, so you can run inside Wal-Mart?

The irony here is, this applies to the writer too. So let us not demand and rally for change; let's begin leading by example!
