Invitations
Decide whether your having the party outdoors or inside. If you go with outside your invitations can be shaped like a tent, camp fire, woods theme, a marshmallow,or even a picnic.
Inside go with a slumber bag, park ranger, Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, bear paw prints, camo theme or a park theme. Since I can draw, I will give you easy steps on how to make your own Yogi Bear and then you can print it out if desired.
First step- Make two big round eyes, and two smaller circles in the middle of each eye.
Second step- Create a upside down gumdrop for the nose.
Third step- From the edge of the nose start creating a heart on both sides, but instead of coming to a V point at the bottom just go straight across from one side and connect it to the other.
Fourth step- Inside the heart section on face make a big wide letter C smile with two little upside down C's.
Fifth step- Creating the head. About an inch away from the heart section make a hump on each side and connect it to the bottom where you went straight across for the heart.
Last step- Create two ears and in the middle of the two ears make a wide triangle. Make sure the top is not pointy. It should have a slight curve. Then on each side add a small triangle.
Decorations
Think of a color scheme. Since we are going with Yogi Bear, I would go with a brown/green theme. This matches the colors on the bears, and it coordinates with a camping scene.
Use streamers, have little party hats, favors, matching plates, napkins, and cups. Oh and how about brown and green balloons along with a 39 inch Yogi balloon that can be found on Ebay? Then create paw prints all round the house, and put up little signs saying Jellystone park, and "Hey Boo Boo."
Party Food
Think small miniature baskets for each child, and lots of great picnic food such as peanut butter and jelly, cold chicken, marshmallows, raisins, pigs n blanket, fruit, yogurt, and any other fun small foods for kids.
Songs
It's a party you have to have some kind of music. It can be songs from Yogi Bear, or camping songs. Here is a cute Yogi bear song I found online your kids might enjoy. Then head over to Angelfire.com they have over 30 cute camping songs that will go perfect with your Yogi bear theme.

Post a CommentGreat party theme ideas. I'm not so sure I would enjoy this movie. I remember Yogi Bear growing up and it was one of my favorite cartoons, but so often when they revamp something for today's market it's too different for those of us who remember the original. Still, Yogi and Boo Boo were great fun characters. I haven't seen any trailers yet, but the casting sounds good.
love the ideas for the invites. Especially the tents
Cute ideas! Seeing this movie with the kids tomorrow!
