Yogic Exercises and Acupressure Points for Backaches Relief

Yoga is good for body and mind. Yoga relaxes your mind, clears your mental blockage and keeps you healthy.

Some yogic postures which will help you in getting rid of backache are given below. These exercises will correct your spine posture and certainly relief your backaches problem.

Some yogic postures, keeping your whole body in downward direction, facing the carpet:

First posture
is cobra posture-Lay down on the carpet in downward position, (your face and complete body should face the carpet) and through the support of your both hands, breath in and try to move up slowly, as much as you can, hold for few seconds (keeping your lower body portion at the ground), than slowly breath out and move down in the normal position. Try to do this yogic posture at least for 3-5 times in a day.

Second posture- Lay down on the carpet in downward position, (your face and complete body should face the carpet) and keep your hand palms one over the other in the centre (first left hand palm should face downward), near your forehead and touch the forehead on hand palms, and breath in and try to move up your upper body portion slowly, as much as you can, (keeping your lower body portion at the ground), hold for few seconds, than slowly breath out and move down in the normal position. Try to do this yogic posture at least 3-5 times in a day.

Third is the snake posture- Lay down on the carpet in downward direction, your face and complete body should face the carpet and chin should touch the ground, breath in and move up your hand-palms, (be sure your complete body is at the ground), than breath out and put your hand-palms down in normal position. Try to do this yogic posture at least for 3-5 times.

Fourth posture- Lay down on the carpet in downward position, your face and complete body should face the carpet, and keep your hand palms on the cheeks, and elbow should touch the carpet, and move your legs up (both the leg should touch your buttocks as much as you can) and slowly move it down, alternatively do this yogic posture for 10-15 minutes. This will definitely make your spine erect and relief backaches.

Some yogic postures, keeping your body on the carpet and keeping face in the upward direction:

1) Rest on the carpet, keeping your face and body facing upward. Bend your legs, and keep your knees facing upward and hands horizontally straight, and then move both the bended-legs in left direction, and see towards right as much as you can, and next, in the same way move the bended-legs in right direction and see towards left. Alternatively do this for 5-10 minutes.

2) Lay down on the carpet, keeping your face and body facing upward. Keep your legs straight, and put the right feet above the left feet, as such it touches the left feet's fingers. Then bend the feet's fingers towards left direction (and try to touch the carpet), and you look towards right direction. Alternatively do this by keeping the left feet's finger above the right one, for 5-10 times. This yogic posture keeps your spine straight, relives your backache, and also helps in height increase.

These yogic exercises exert your muscles in various ways and keeps you fit.

Acupressure points for backache relief:

1) Press the top and middle portion of your ring finger (near the small finger) of both the legs for 5 minutes.

2) Press the portion of hand palm between the thumb and the pointer finger, using the thumb of the other hand. Press the acupressure points of both the hands.

Eat a balanced diet, eat green vegetables and fruits. Drink a glass of milk everyday, as it will make your bones strong, and go for walk everyday.

Always sleep in the right posture, sleep either straight, facing roof of your home i.e., resting your back on the bed, or sleep side turn on soft pillow keeping your legs straight.

These yogic exercises will definitely relief your backaches problem and joint pains. Make sure you devote your valuable half an hour everyday for these yogic exercises. Stay healthy!!!!
