The height of an individual depends largely on the height of the parents, the weather of your residential area and your food habits. You might have observed that the height of the people living in the areas where the rains are less is more than the people staying in the areas having more rain. The moist and humid weather tends to restrict the height of the people. This is due to the fact that the useful salts and minerals get washed away in the areas having more rains and hence, the people of that area are deprived of the benefits of such basic mineral salts. Also, it is also a scientifically established fact that the restand relaxation helps in increasing the height. The scientific studys have shown that the height of an individual is more when he gets up in the morning and reduces by end of the day, though, by a very very small fraction. This means that the regular and healthy sleep pattern tends to increase the height of an individual. The persons who were restless in their childhood are generally found to have less height as compared with the silent and resting kids. This is due to the fact that the spinal cord of such active and hyper child does not get sufficient rest during their childhood and as a result, their spinal cord remains slightly underdeveloped.
The next aspect in order to increase the height is the food intake of an individual. The persons who want to increase their height must consume the food items full of calcium, phosphorous, and vitamin D. The bones of the body becomes stronger and the longer due to such food intake. The natural green vegetables, eggs, and the meat have the most needed food constituents required to increase the height. As against these food items, the calcium tablets may not help to the desired extent as the externally taken tablets do not get homogeneously mixed in the blood of the human body. The morning sun rays also have lot of vitamin D. That is why the sunbath in morning hours really help in increasing the height.
Some specific exercises like Roman Rings, cycling, and jumping can be really very helpful in increasing the height. The normal walking posture also plays a very vital role in increasing the height. One must always walk in a straight and erect posture so as to maintain the spinal cord in the straight fashion as much as possible. Such habits tend to increase the gap between the beads of the spinal cord, thus adding to the height of an individual. The yogasanas like Chakrasan, Dhanurasan, Shalbhasan, and Halasan help in collecting lot of healthy blood in the spinal cord. The standing on your head (Shirshasan) is the sure shot of increasing the height. The walking with your hands raised fully above your head, and only on your fingers of the legs, keeping rest of the legs higher, is the best exercise to increase the height. The types of clothes you wear also contribute to restrict your height. One must wear the loose cotton clothes on the body, thus allowing free growth to your body in all the directions. The exercise of deep breathing also helps a lot. As far as possible, one must always take slow and deep breaths with a small interval of around two to three seconds between exhaling and inhaling.
The steps as described above certainly help to increase the height of the individual as all these steps are based on the scientific facts and have proved successful in the past. I myself have helped at least ten to twelve people to increase their height by around two to three inches after reaching the maturity age in my long career of twelve years as the yoga instructor.
