This path that leads to an end never desired -
It is bending, in a mind's eye quickly unfolding,
And her memories are pressing -
Like a young boy's lips against glass,
Smiling in, a joy not so long ago.
He's calling to her now,
Saying her name so loudly through silent air
And with a last chance to run away from this path now,
her heart is unsure where he is hiding now -
His call and laugh are so silent now
And her mother's sad eyes -
They're looking at her
Those same hands are upon her,
Steadying her step, Repairing her fall,
Emerald, his robes are dancing
Emerald, another world another time
