Face it... I enjoy eating yummy and tasty treats more than I enjoy starving myself.
However...it really is not a healthy way to live. How could I have my cake and eat it too? That is, to me, a very important question! One that needed serious pondering and research.
My answer... I can. I can have my cake (so to speak) and eat it too!
Yoplait yogurt is the answer.
I have never been a huge yogurt fan. I will eat one if I am running super late and there is nothing else in the house to eat (and I had to have a coupon in the first place.)
Summer is fast approaching and here in Texas it gets hot. Very hot. At times, miserable hot. Do I want to suffer through another summer carrying around those excess pounds that just add to the misery of summer heat in Texas? Do I really want to spend another summer indoors? No. That was a simple enough answer.
Okay... so it is time to become healthy. Overnight, right? Come on, I can change an entire adult lifetime around in one night simply by voicing a self-decree, right?
After all... I am only talking small changes here... no need to go out and join that gym that has been taunting me daily as I drive by it on my way home.
No need to give up french fries with lunch... just say no to super size. Small changes. Baby steps.
That is the key to success for me.
All these small changes initiated into my daily routine ... parking in the last row before entering into a store...taking the stairs if the building has less than three fours... (baby steps, remember)... drinking only water... no more sodas at all are great and wonderful.
Nevertheless, if I cannot do something to curb my sweet tooth, then nothing really has changed.
Enter Yoplait yogurt.
I had a coupon so I thought... what the hey... I will try these dessert flavored ones as mentioned on the commercial with the wife talking on the phone about the flavors she had enjoyed whilst losing weight and the husband frantically searching for the desserts in the refrigerator... behind all the yogurt.
Dessert flavor yogurt--- my all time fave
Boston cream pie! For only fifty cents, I can enjoy six ounces of heavenly dessert at only 90 calories. No need for cookies or ice cream with this yummy treat in my fridge.
Dessert flavor yogurt--- a close second
Banana Crème! This is so yummy and creamy. In addition, to think, banana crème pie has never been one of my favorite dessert... what have I been missing? This six ounce little bit of heaven also only had a 90 calories.
Dessert flavor yogurt- bringing up the rear
Strawberry cheesecake! Who does not enjoy a yummy cheesecake for dessert? Now you can... for 180 calories, this is real treat!
A small note... I am not a fan of the key lime pie, though several of my friends are. Moreover, I will not be purchasing the Chocolate Mousse flavor again anytime soon... ever.
I am still trying out flavors... which ones do you recommend?
