The new candies are part of the Hershey candy line that started with the Reese's Pieces Candy. Now the new 'pieces' candy includes: Reese's Pieces, York Pieces, Almond Joy Pieces, and Hershey's Special Dark Pieces.
I along with my children tried out these new pieces, which are peppermint and dark chocolate flavored with a crunchy candy shell. One of my children said that they did not care for the blue colored candies. There are blue and white candies in the York Pieces and no one else noticed any difference in taste between the two colors.
Myself and another one of my kids think that the York Pieces tasted ok and that the dark chocolate with peppermint flavoring was a strange combination. Then there is my son who loves just about any kind of candy that exists and the York Pieces are now included in that long list of candy he likes.
I do have to say that I was disappointed with the York Pieces overall. I was hoping for another great tasting low fat candy from York. This is not the product I was looking for, so I will stick to the original York Peppermint Patties, to feel the "sensation."
I like the fact that the original patties have dark chocolate which in small doses is supposed to be good for you. Also the original York Peppermint Patties are extremely low fat in terms of candy bars. The York Pieces are not that low fat, and I guess I really did not care for the taste of them.
I will not be buying anymore of the new Hershey candy York Pieces for me. I might however buy some of the new candy pieces for my son who seemed to like them. Obviously everyone has different tastes and I am sure there are many people who will enjoy this new product.
