My heart,
My head,
And my soul.
Laid bare for you,
Whoever you may be,
Maybe you are chained,
Maybe you are free,
Maybe you are me.
It's all about now,
Not yesterday,
Not how,
And not today.
I may appear,
I may disappear,
I will be true,
I will see it through.
You can try and break me,
You can try and forsake me,
You can try all you like,
You may find that you don't like.
I can only say this,
With words and gestures,
And yes this is it,
I am all that you'll find.
Behind my face,
Behind my smile,
Behind my frown,
I am just a face in a town.
And you may read this,
You may hear it on the lips,
As you try to remember,
As you try a forget.
You may think emptiness,
Or clumsiness,
You may laugh or cry,
You may, you may, you may.
My head is strong,
My heart is true,
My soul is right,
My soul is wrong.
I may be something,
I may be not,
You could be everything,
You could also be not.
I know this,
About myself,
I am real,
And I am not fake.
I may be rude,
I may be shy,
I may laugh,
I may cry.
You may see me,
As transparent or opaque,
I am real,
I am no fake.
But perceptions change,
It's the one inevitability,
Of one's self,
And all that arrange.
Give me a chance,
Or give me nothing,
I'll give you everything,
And expect only you.
If this makes any sense,
If this is a start,
If this is a finish,
Be it made with your heart.
