You Asked, I'm Telling

A Girl Who No Longer Exists
"Just how places are you online?" I've been asked this more times than I care to count, frankly because I'm both too lazy and busy to do so (contradictory? Hmmm...) To be perfectly honest, I can't answer the question because Googling myself alone is inadequate. How do I know this? Well, because I've tried and places I know for a fact feature my name don't show up---and, trust me, as a library geek, I'm very familiar with Boolean searches.

Anyway, what I CAN answer is how many websites I currently manage. I won't bother mentioning websites that I've abandoned or ones that I update only very infrequently. I'll just list the websites that actually matter to me right now. So...here they are:

My online resume: http://www.linkedin.com/in/christinestoddard

My general online writing portfolio: http://www.associatedcontent.com/christinestoddard

My online bookstore:
http://www.lulu.com/cstoddard

My general how-to writing portfolio:
http://www.ehow.com/members/cstoddard.html

My general art portfolio (okay, I shouldn't even list this because I haven't logged in since, well, forever):
http://www.selfportrait.net/christinestoddard

My online modeling portfolio (PLEASE laugh):
http://www.modelmayhem.com/christinestoddard

My music showcase (I also haven't updated this in forever and you're allowed to laugh again):
www.myspace.com/christinestoddardblameslarks

My alternative fashion blog:
www.paisleyandparasols.com

Everything else I don't update very often but, as always, you're allowed to be creepy and stalk me. Don't feel weird because I can assure you that you're not the only one (some of my classmates have sheepishly admitted to doing this; I tell them there's no reason to be embarrassed because I honestly Google the names of all of my professors, employers, and many of my acquaintances; but I also have the strange habit of studying and psycho analyzing people I know).

Now to answer WHY I'm all over the Internet: in short, I just really love writing, making collages, taking photos, modeling, and overall involving myself in creative endeavors---and the Internet provides excellent opportunities for doing all of these things. Oh, yeah, and as much as I fantasize about being a starving artist, I enjoy eating and therefore need to a make a buck or two in order to sustain myself. Call me a sell-out but at least I don't live in a cardboard box...yet.
