I've written extensively about how I am an old man trapped in a 27 (soon to be 28) year old body. I'm cheap, can't stay up past 8pm and love shuffleboard. In the town where I am from all old people play bocce on their regulation, putting green-like arenas. It's a huge ordeal with Sunday whites and mint juleps. So it's only natural that I've always been intrigued by the game.

Well, if you are from Brooklyn, you know that bocce is prevalent pretty much everywhere. People play it in the park, on roofs and there are even a bunch of bars that have bocce courts set up so you can challenge your drunken buddies.

One such place that I've fallen in love with is Floyd, NY on Atlantic Avenue. They've got an indoor clay court that is perfect for hosting parties. They'll hook you up if you are interested in hosting your next gathering there so be sure to check them out.

They also have a great beer and food selection (Kentucky beercheese anyone?) as well as a nice choice of bourbons (my favorite). I went in there claiming to have an undefeated lifetime record in bocce and was relegated to the sidelines within a few short minutes. The players at Floyd's don't mess around.

I'm trying to get a team together so we can challenge in the year round tourney so be on the lookout for a group of twenty-somethings dressed like old men!
