** In honor of National Poetry Month, I'm trying my hand at a little iambic pentameter. I've not ever consciously sat down and thought about meter when writing poetry so this month has definitely ben a learning experience.**
I know my heart will bleed when you cut me
With your ill chosen and sharp words like knives
You slew my soul as sure as lye
Does burn into tender flesh to the bone
My heart does bleed with abandon to none

Today has been a slow e day. Everywhere I type I'm dropping an e. Don't know what's up.
Thank you both. It is tricky but I like it. Not since we read Shakespear in College had I even thought about it.
Iambic pentameter is tricky - nice work.
A lot of stuff happened between publication that I couldn't fix because it published right away.
