President Obama is in town. Which can only mean one thing. No, he's not trying to achieve world peace at the U.N. Those in New York know that when Barry's in town the transit system becomes more convoluted than a Henry Miller novel.

I've tried taking the bus. Nope. Half hour waits and PAINFULLY slow commutes. I've tried taking a cab. Nope again. $20 got me 10 blocks and 1 avenue. So on my ride home the other day I figured I would take the 4 train home to the Nevins street stop. I usually try to catch the N since it is right near where I work, but since a colleague of mine said that she waited on the train for an hour in the morning, I had nightmare of my claustrophobia kicking in and me running screaming down the tracks to live with the mole people.

So I gave the 4 my best shot. I figured that getting to Brooklyn would be no problem as B.O. and crew were staying at the Waldorf and the U.N. is in midtown.

Well I'm not sure the Prez was holding court in Grand Central or something, but I waited, and waited and waited for a train to come my way. A half hour later and that tunnel isn't looking too bad. I wonder what being a mole person is like anyway?

I guess the Secret Service was worried about the 4, 5, and 6 trains passing too close to Barry's hotel and were jamming up the train lines for checks.

Well, thanks to those lovely gentleman made it home to Brooklyn at 10pm and missed Modern Family. Next time you are in town Barry, you owe me DVD!
