You Can Conquer the Flu by Eating Foods that Heal

There are some super flu-fighting foods that are full of vitamins and minerals which are required for your well-being. Consuming these foods will not only make you stronger, but cut down the amount of time you have to deal with the illness. Meaning, having the flu for a few days instead of a couple weeks. Since this illness is the cause of many lost hours at the job it is best to nip this problem in the bud before it starts by building your body up with anti-viral foods. Losing hours at work to an occupation that does not pay for vacations, holidays, or sick days makes the overall illness extra miserable. The best advice I could give to those people is to begin a healthy habit of eating foods to prevent illness and boost your immune system to make it impossible for germs to live in. In other words, a healthy body requires a consistent diet change of produce, proteins and those complex carbohydrates. Below I've listed a few important foods to include in your healthy diet that will give you a stronger defense against the flu and other

VITAMIN C

If you want to stop the infections from infesting your body, and have stronger immunity you must get plenty of it. You can find triple Vitamin C in Black Currants
and oranges. Pure Lemon juice and water are good germ killers that can dissolve the germs at the start. Make yourself a cup of hot water and lemon juice in it to purify your system of any toxins that make you susceptible to viruses. Grapefruit juice is another citrus fruit to help you fight dangerous viruses like the flu.
However, do not use this if you are on prescription medication. Grapefruits can cause toxic reactions especially with heart, blood pressure, AIDS, psychiatric and others medicines. Check with your doctor or pharmacist. Brussell Sprouts are good bitter vegetables full of Vitamin C and cancer fighting glucosinolates.
Potatoes are full of fiber and potassium along with Vitamin C especially with the skin. Remember to not soak your potatoes in water in order to preserve the vitamins.

ZINC , SELENIUM and VITAMIN B

For a stronger immune system that can stand up against viruses it is best to use foods such as Cottage Cheese, Brown Rice, and meats like Pork. For those who do not eat animal flesh it would be best to use proteins such as Soy and Tofu as well as legumes in place of animal meat.

A STRONGER GI TRACT

Your GI tract is the most important factor in your immune system that can either hold or discard the toxins from your body. Yogurt is an excellent choice of calcium that has a natural acidophilus culture that will protect against the flu and yeast infections.

NIACIN, FIBER and IRON

IF you want to know what complex carbs can do for you in terms of strengthening your immune system you will consume whole wheat pasta in place of the average white flour pasta. It has been said that foods that contain whole grain as the first ingredient is the best food for your body.

CALCIUM, MAGNESIUM and ALKALINE

You can find these nutrients in organic vegetables that are dark and leafy plant based produce. The vegetables that are the best are cabbage, broccoli, collard greens, spinach, celery, kale,sprouts, kelp and seaweed. There are herbal supplements that are known as whole foods such as barley grass, wheat grass, and spirulina that are considered full of vitamins we may miss during meals.

It is important to consider your health in everything you do to make your body stronger and life more comfortable.
