Jorge, my dear friend, what can I say?
As I ponder your new life, I'm filled with emotions in many ways
Though I haven't known you very long
My sadness grows strong
You left an impression on me
As you near the end of your time here
Just remember all of the lives you've touched and held dear
Knowing that you came here with nothing
And leave with a lot more than just something
You left an impression on me
Fun times we had back then
Nights on Fire Island dancing with friends
Decorating your apartment in shabby chic
Running to 7-11 for something to eat
You left an impression on me
We lost touch after those first few weeks
Our paths crossing rarely in small little meets
Reconnecting with you lately has been a wonderful reprise
For I got to know you and it was a blessing in disguise
You left an impression on me
Though our second tourney together was short and sweet
It left an indelible impression on me that I cannot refute
The kindness and compassion you give
Inspires me on how I should live
You left an impression on me
So, so long my friend, as you return to the place that was once your stead
I wish you nothing but happiness on your road ahead
Though you'll be missed, may you find true happiness in that which you hold dear
Our paths may never again cross, but memories of you will always be near
You left an impression on me
Buena Suerte Amigo!
