YOU LISTEN to DAFFODIL

Listen

Kady Birdwhistle
My little giraffe lives with me
She's as sweet as she can be
Believe me, she is
She grabbed some markers tonight
To tell me how she felt
Life is too precious, she says
The war must stop, she says
I tried to hold her and stop
Her constant crying for those
Already dead and gone
Our boys and girls who have DIED
In the senseless war
Daffodil, a tiny giraffe knows it is
Pointless to have war
How can she know more than we
She's knows it is sad
Let's follow her advice and
End this AWFUL WAR

I know the commentary about Daffodil is totally fake, but the idea exists. Daffodil exists if you believe. No more WAR exists if you are strong enough. The choice is yours. I am currently protesting in Columbia, MO. NO MORE DEATH!!!!!!! Listen to my little giraffe if you don't hear me.....no more war, please. Daffodil's crying is actually mine.

I agree with Marquis. It's finding that balance that is often difficult. This is a very creative piece Kady!

PS: Little D has more common sense and compassion than most of the politicians festering in DC!

This is cool and unique because you presented something central to all of us in an original way. I agree with little D: THIS WAR IS AWFUL AND IT NEEDS TO END!

Daffodil makes more sense than most politicians. This tragic war should never have taken place. I feel very sad about the soldiers that have died and the soldiers that have sustained terrible injuries.

Not fake, Daffodil uses your voice, as you use hers. Good job.
