I love finding ways to creatively stretch my budget. In the economy that we live in today, who wouldn't want to get the most mileage out of their money?
The Dollar Tree is one place I shop at for some good deals. When we moved into our home I purchased a lot of household accessories there. Now they are ramping up limitless possibilities for consumers to take advantage of. Here are just a few suggestions to consider.
Care Packages
We all know of someone or are aware of the many needs that our military men and women have. For those serving our country, imagine how they would feel receiving a care package filled with all kinds of goodies and toiletries. This might include board games, puzzles, word jumbos, combs, brushes, hats, gloves, toothpaste and similar items. These items could be easily packaged in their plastic containers. This would be a great project to get schools involved in, especially during the holiday season.
Local communities will often solicit help in providing children with school supplies. This could contain items such as pencils, crayons, pens, glue, notebooks, notebook paper, pencil holders, tape, erasers, markers and art supplies. These items can be easily stored year-round or donated to the school of your choice. What a godsend this would be for children.
Baby Gift Baskets
Most parents would love to receive practical gifts for their newborn. It's not necessary to spend an astronomical amount for some items. Fill the basket with bibs, baby wipes, bottles, bottle brush cleaners, powder, lotion, comb, brush and similar items. Wrap it nicely in a colorful basket and shrink wrap that can also be purchased from the Dollar Tree.
Disaster Relief Packages
When disaster strikes the needs are great for so many people who are experiencing the ravages of their devastation. Bottled water, snacks, canned goods, flashlights, batteries, socks, tissue, paper towels, detergent, soap, lotion are just some things that would be most welcomed.
Conclusion
You are only limited by your creativity as to how far you can stretch your hard-earned money. The Dollar Tree is a good place to start. Happy savings!!

A Dollar Tree gift basket would be welcomed by anyone. When it is presented to someone in need or away at war, oh man, what a boost!
Dollar Tree is a great place to save. Thanks!
Good ideas Lee!
We have Family Dollar in our area but your ideas still apply.
I shop there quite often as well. It is great for Birthday parties. I also go there and buy the Sunday paper on Monday mornings.. I can get it for a dollar instead of $1.75 and I get coupons that way.
Great work, think I'd better visit, have some baby showers coming up soon, thanks, Lee!
