You and Me

I remember when I was young in that magical time and place,
we went away one night and talked of a hidden space.
Somewhere in the universe where we would run away,
and be together always in that place where we could stay.

You've seen the jungle that I described,
that place where I had to go.
Back when my family moved away
far away where I did grow.

I've seen your Isle in the Skye,
that place where fairies play.
I giggle considering how much,
things still have not changed yet to this day.

It makes me smile to see the path and the journey that we made.
That started in California and is still crossing paths today.
Two lives connected by one soul,
means that we will someday see,

That universe that we both dearly love,
together you and me.
