You Can Make Money Doing Online Surveys (If You Know Where to Start)

If I had a dollar for every email I received that promised I could make a living working from home taking survey's, I wouldn't have to work at all. As the internet continues to grow, so does opportunity, and unfortunately greed which leads to scams. I have searched the web and tried countless survey programs, and to date only a few have been worth my time. I share this information with you in an effort to save you time and direct you to the best online survey's, that I've found.

My favorite survey site is Pinecone Research. This is a reputable company that pays, usually $5 per survey, in a timely manner. The surveys issued by the site are fun, quick, and easy. You're not going to become rich, but you can average about 4-6 surveys a month. It may not sound like a lot, but there are other perks such as the opportunity to test products.

My second favorite site is, Opinionoutpost.com. The survey's generated from this site are greater than Pinecone, but unlike Pinecone you don't get a check for completing the survey. After completing a survey, you earn points usually between 10-40. 10 opinion points equals a dollar. You can cash out after 50 opinion points. You can usually earn 50 points in a little over a week. You will receive more surveys as you complete your profile which consist of a series of shorter survey's . The information gathered is used to send you survey's geared to your demographic. The opportunity to participate in an online panel is greatest on this site. An online focus group participation will net you 400 points, a $40 check.

The third site My Survey .com operates much like Opinion outpost, on points. Unlike Opinion, My survey points can be used for cash, or merchandise. The minimum amount for redemption is 1,000 points. The point value per survey varies.

The fourth site, is SurveySavy.com. This is a cash per survey site. You typically earn $2 per survey. The frequency of survey's is about the same as Pinecone 4-6 per month. You can request a check from this site at any point. I requested a check after earning only $4. (I did that purely for research for this article and would generally wait until I reached $20 or more, but it's nice to know you can request the money as soon as you want it.)

There are several other survey sites around, but many require you to buy something or sign up for a trial membership for some service. If a survey site requires you to purchase something you should be cautious None of the sites I mentioned will ever require you to spend money, or sign up for any services (other then the survey site).

Realistically to make significant income from survey sites, you would need to find about 10 reputable sites which send survey's regularly and pay as advertised. At that rate you could net about $200 or more a month. I will continue to search for survey sites that are genuine. There is money to be made doing surveys, it's just difficult to find the legitimate sites.
