Thailand is a beautiful country with is own unique culture, and has attractions to meet the needs of everyone. Since the launch of non-stop flights to Thailand from the U.S., the growth of arrivals from the U.S. has increased drastically since 2003. There are a total of seven weekly flights from the U.S; three from Los Angeles and four from New York.

The tropical climate of Thailand gives it three distinct seasons. From the months of March through May it is hot and dry, with temperatures averaging 93 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a rainy season but during this season there is plenty of sunshine to be enjoyed. The rainy season runs from June to October with the average day temperature being 84 degrees Fahrenheit. The third season which runs from November through to February are cooler with temperatures as high as 89 degrees Fahrenheit to lower than 68 degrees Fahrenheit. The cooler temperatures of Thailand are more to the North and Northeast especially at nighttime.

The currency in Thailand is the Baht. For one U.S dollar you get about 39 Baht. The English language is highly understood, especially in Bangkok. English is becoming a major Language in Bangkok. Thai-English signs are found throughout the Nation. Thailand is known as the "Land of Smiles" and is well known across Asia for its hospitality. The population in Thailand is spilt 80% of the population is Thai, 10% is Chinese, 3% is Malay and the last 7% is divided between Mons, hill tribes and Khmers. Buddhism is the main Religion of Thailand, but the Thais have respect for all religions.

The largest Island in Thailand is Phuket, it is also an international resort destination. The Phi Phi islands are a short distance to the South. Less than two hours from Bangkok is Pattaya, because this is so close to Bangkok it is popular for weekend getaways from city life. Samet and Chang islands that are smaller and lie to the east of pattaya are very popular with backpackers.

The cuisine of Thailand is mouthwatering. Many believe that all Thai food is incredibly hot, however this is just not true. Many different aspects such as curries from India, noodle dishes from china and satays from Indonesia influence the cuisine.

For people who seek an adventurous vacation Thailand is home to 96 national parks, 100 wildlife and non-hunting sanctuaries and 65 forest parks. Which means there is a huge amount of activities to suit all. These activities range from mounting biking to scuba diving. A popular activity is elephant trekking.

Thailand is the perfect vacation spot for everyone, it has activities to suit all, spas for those who choose to just relax and magnificent beaches and sights that will literally take you breath away.
