You, You Make it Possible

(Prose)

April Higney
Without you, your gifts in words, breathing life back into my heart, perhaps I may have faltered,
as I struggle to believe in my own words, going over and over in my mind,
reading, reading, to give myself a reason, in something beautiful your words help me to find...I find.

Without you, your connections to the faithful hearts, lasting relationship loves, mirroring each other,
as you stream through my day beyond poetry, many years, an anniversary, perhaps without this, special meaning,
knowing, knowing, a real beauty in real, real love, I may have broken, without your showing.

Without you, your gifts in the abstract, the arts, reflecting, something to look deeper into, see, envision, portions of depth
reality has unknown to me, yet my mind's eye can absorb, decipher in, all that I wish, wish to see.

Without you, your histories, in oil paintings, your present placements, photography, nature's beauty, natural wonders, the lovely visions of figures, moving emotions before my eyes, so much hoped I could be...I could be....without you, I could not see.

Without you, your music, your magic, filtering into my soul, dancing, dancing into my heart, embracing, without you I could not hear, I could not hear the rhythm to guide my steps.

Without you, my pen, my pen would lack the ink to believe...to believe in something far greater, far more beautiful, with far more depth than sometimes felt possible...you, you make it possible.

Without you, your dreams, your heart, your soul, your love, your strength, breathing life back into my heart, perhaps I may have faltered, lost belief within my own...belief within my own, you, you give it back to me.

Another person can make things possible... but the actual doing of it is you.
