You Sexy Thing - Tori Carrington

You Sexy Thing, by Tori Carrington was one of the first two Blaze line novels released by Harlequin in 2001. I stumbled onto a copy in the local thrift shop and grabbed it with both hands. I'm very glad I did, the book was well worth the read.

Dylan Fairbanks is a sex therapist with some very conservative views. Grace Mattias is his polar opposite in the world of sex therapy. They've both been looking forward to their upcoming book tours, until they learn they've been paired together for the tour, without anyone checking with either of them to see if it would be workable for them. As far as Dylan is concerned Grace is too outrageous, uninhibited, and far too sexy for his comfort. He quickly finds that he can't focus on anything other than Grace.

As for Grace, she can't remember when she's enjoyed a tour more than this one. Her partner for the trip is so stuffy and sensible that it's easy for her to push his buttons. It's not long before one explosive, sensual encounter leads to another and everything Dylan has been practicing in the way of no sex outside of marriage, is thrown out of the window.

There's one slight hitch in all of this, apart from their opposite beliefs, and that's the woman Dylan is planning to ask to marry him. A woman that isn't Grace...

Wow, what can I say?

You Sexy Thing is a torrid, heated read and well worth the ride if you manage to find a copy. The beliefs of Grace and Dylan are so different that at first it's difficult to think they will be able to overcome them. But, with work and a combined passion, those are eventually overcome. It's not easy, and I'm not going to give away all the secrets of the book.

This isn't the first Ms. Carrington novel I've had the delight to read, and I'm sure it won't be the last either. She's a talented author with the ability to write steamy reads designed to thrill a reader for a few short hours. Although she's not an auto buy for me, she's slowly edging her way up the list and it won't be long before she makes her way there. Ms. Carrington is an author I would recommend to anyone who enjoys contemporary erotic romances.
