Free options. These websites hosting options are one of the easiest. There are a number of them out there. You sign up for your website and design it in there. You get to design your site how ever you want. You can use their website design program. You can also use and HTML editor and upload your own pages on most. Most are easy to use. Most of these free website hosts also have tutorials or places you can go to for help. Your website will be as you plan it, but it will have their banners on them. This is the cost of free. Some of the ads can be intrusive. You do have to remember you are getting it for free. This is the way that they pay their bills. This is a good option for the beginner.
Your own domain. This option for your own website seems to intimidate some. Getting your own domain is a simple process but does take a bit of technical knowledge. First you must make sure that the domain you want is available. GoDaddy is a great place. If the domain you want is available then you can order and pay for it right there. Once you have secured your domain name you have to find a host. There are tons of host out there. Some you can get for as little as five dollars a month. If you do a search you will find lots of options. It is good though to ask around. You want to find a reliable host. Find one that has a low downtime, and is available to answer any questions that you may have.
Blogs. This is becoming a very popular option. People are making their whole websites out of blogs. There are free options such as blogger.com and wordpress.com . You can also upload one of the popular blogs to your own domain and have that as your site. This has a bit of smaller learning curve. If you choice to use their site it is pretty much plug and play. You can upload various themes and templates. There are even options that allow you plugins for pictures and comments.
MySpace. This premiered as a teenage thing, but has grown to where every one of every age seems to have one. It is classified as a social networking site. Isn't a website though the very same thing? Myspace allows you to add your friends. They can leave comments on your site and you theirs. It even has its own blog option. Myspace has the ability to share your photos and videos also.
All of these are great places and ways to make your own web presence. There are a lot of options out there. You just need to take that leap and try one out. Everyone wants to have a great site. Within these options something should fit your needs.
