You Were My Hideout

Jennifer Moore
You were my hideout
You were my place where I didn't have a care
You were all I cared about
Now when things get bad
I wish I were with you
But that's not an option now
I realize I have much more to care for
You were like the angels in heaven
You always shined bright in me
We never even had a fight
But now you aren't here
My hiding place is gone
But you amaze me even today
You still teach me things
I guess that's what people mean
When they say "Your spirit will live on"
Especially with me
I love you grandma
