Cakes come in many shapes, sizes, colors, and varieties. There are cupcakes, decorated store bought cakes, and home made cakes. Each are great but some are better than others for specific plans.
Say you'd like to send cake to school for your child to share with their class. Sending in a sheet cake could be complicated and messy at school. Really if you wanted to send in a sheet cake you should also send in plates, napkins, and plastic silverware as the teacher may not have them on hand. Also, it takes up a lot of class time to cut and serve a larger sized cake which is something that would need to be considered. Send in cup cakes instead! You can bake and decorate them at home for a lesser cost or you can go to your local grocery store and buy them ready made.
For a private only a few friends and family birthday party at home a home made cake is a wonderful idea. Smaller parties need smaller cakes. Friends and family could bake and decorate the cake with the birthday boy or girl for an added touch of family fun and togetherness on the child's special day! Home made cakes are great because they are baked at home for the child, with love as the main ingredient. You can't buy that!
However, for a large party a home made cake just will not do. Unless of course you plan on making several of them! You'd save money making four or five cakes at home to serve to your child's friends and family but you would not be saving time. Store bought cakes are great for larger parties! They can be bought large enough to feed the entire crowd! They also come beautifully decorated. Some are so beautiful you just hate to cut them! Many are available decorated with your child's favorite TV characters. They won't only feed the whole crowd, they'll wow them too!
The birthday cake is a main part of celebrating your child's birthday! Different cakes meet different plans better than others do but all are wonderful and taste so good! Thanks for reading and take care!
