All bonded diamonds have a return policy that lasts a lifetime. You may sell your diamond back to your dealer at the exact same price you bought it without fearing market or stock crashes, depreciation and tax. This is especially useful as diamond value depreciates really quickly and does not worth much after a couple of years unlike gold. It is immune to depreciation because it has a fixed appreciation value that enables it to ride over any depreciation that may come across an other normal diamonds.
Furthermore, if you have lost interest in your diamond (after a divorce, perhaps), you can take it back and exchange it for a new design of the exact same value. In this way, you can keep up with the current fashion scene without burning a giant hole in your pocket. If, in case of accidents and the diamond chips, the dealer will exchange it for another brand new stone. This is especially useful as you know that your diamond is as natural as it was when it was mined, and not chemically strengthened.
You may find that hunting for a bonded diamond is more difficult that you imagine because only a few jewelry dealers engage in such practice. Therefore you must have your information and knowledge of bonded diamonds at the tip of your fingers. You may also browse through diamond hobbyists' magazines or clubs for extra help. These people will have the resources to deal with, and find your perfect diamond dealer for you.
You may also take a risk and ask a jeweler if his diamonds are bonded, or if he has a license to sell such diamonds. However, whether you get a correct and truthful answer is any one's guess, and paying thousands for that guess is certainly not wise.
Check out reputed dealers like Tiffany & Co, and if you cannot afford their pricey range, you may ask for help from them.
