Matt
Holidays are hard for a family with a gluten allergy. All the "traditional" candies and treats are loaded with wheat products. The good news, however, is that there is now a plethora of information on gluten free candies and candy alternatives. This article will help jumpstart your imagination and aid you in finding gluten free candy for your family.

While there are certain brands who have designated their company to creating gluten free candy, these brands are few and far in between. Some of them are particularly hard to find, and when you do find them, they're rather expensive. To help remedy that, most common brand names have started creating gluten free lines for those with Celiac disease and a common gluten allergy.

When it comes to chocolate products, most brands have created gluten free candy. Hershey's Kisses and Hugs, Milk Chocolate bars, and Nuggets are all gluten free. Reeses, Baby Ruth, Butterfinger, and M&M's are all gluten free as well. With some research, you will find that many chocolate candies are in fact gluten free.

There are, however, people who do not like chocolate. And for those people, there is a wide array of fruit snacks and ice creams that are gluten free. As far as holiday candy is concerned, there is at least one brand dedicated to making sure people with gluten allergies do not feel left out. Spangler brand candies are mostly all gluten free, and their menu consists of candy canes and popsicles. Jelly Belly products are also all gluten free.

Most Tootsie products are gluten free as well. This covers Tootsie Pops, Tootsie Rolls, Junior Mints, Sugar Daddies, Sugar Babies, Dots, Charm Pops, and Double Bubble bubble gum. Welch's Fruit Snacks are gluten free, Nestle Raisinets, Mike & Ike's, and Peeps are gluten free. If you're looking for some Wonka products... Bottlecaps, Gobstoppers, Runts, Fun Dips, PixyStix, Sweetarts, Nerds, Laffy Taffy, and Tart n Tiny's are all safe.

If you are looking for a website that lists gluten free candies, Google has many gluten free alternatives. People with Celiac disease are not the only people with gluten allergies. The most common source of gluten is wheat.

You don't have to give up your sweet tooth just because you've been diagnosed with a gluten allergy. Many companies are accommodating people with allergies to help better their business.
