Your Make-Up Done in 5 Minutes

Quick, Easy Makeup for Those Who Don't Have the Time!

Have you ever rushed out of the house only to realize you've forgotten your keys, glasses, notepad and other numerous things? I know I have! I only do it, oh, every two days. If you're like me, it's probably because you've spent ages and ages in front of a mirror, applying your makeup carefully and slowly. But if you cut down how long it takes to do certain things, like your makeup face, you'll never forget a thing again.

Primer and Foundation: 1 minute
After you've washed your face, apply primer quickly to your face, and then foundation. If you don't apply primer, your foundation will disappear by lunchtime. Primer also helps to reduce the look of large pores and fine lines.

If you want something speedier and lighter, try tinted moisturizer, such as Neutrogena Healthy Defense SPF 30 Daily Moisturizer, $13. Tinted moisturizer is perfect for summer because it covers up uneven skin tone while not being as heavy as foundation. It also has an SPF, perfect for hot days or at the beach. As an added bonus, it is a moisturizer, so you can use it straight after cleansing, but it does fade away much quicker than foundation.

Blush: 45 seconds
You won't believe what a touch of color can do for your complexion, you'll look fresher and healthier. Pick out the perfect blush for you, and sweep it over the apples of your cheeks. A creme blush is best for those in a rush, because it's quick to apply, hard to ruin and sheer but still noticeable. Just dab some creme blush onto your fingers and sweep onto your cheeks. Try Almay Smart Shade Blush, $9. It's so sheer it's virtually impossible to stuff up!

Eyeshadow: 1 1/2 minutes
Eyeshadow is a perfect finish to any outfit. My tips for those in a rush is just to apply a very light shade of eyeshadow such as pearl or beige to the inner corner of your eyes, and on your eyelids for a bright eyed look that's so easy and quick.

Lip Stick or Lip Gloss: 1 mintue
If you're a lip stick person, apply your favorite color straight from the tube. There's no time for fussy lip liners or brushes! If you prefer lip gloss, apply it straight away because lip gloss is easy to apply. Throughout the day, make sure you do lip touch-ups to prevent fading lip marks or messy lips.

All of this adds up about 4 and a half minutes. Impressive, I know! You'll look like you spent ages on your makeup. But if you aren't in a rush, take time to do your makeup, because of course, it will look much better! You're probably wondering why I didn't include mascara, well it's because mascara makes you look fresh and younger, and it's easy to ruin. If you love your mascara though, you can apply it...after all, there are those extra 30 seconds!
