Your scent lingers in my memory
Like a bad dream
Shortly after awakening
Sometimes I think
I will turn
And there you'll be
Staring back at me
Like a familiar song
When you can't remember the words
Your face fades
In my mind
Vague, a fleeting memory
But every now and then
I still catch your scent
In the breeze
