Your Mistakes, Your Insecurities

Jersey

Stop.

Blaming us

For your mistakes

Your insecurities.

Stop.

Your screams

That grate the nerves

Like shards of glass

Scraping and ripping

Down a chalkboard.

Stop.

Your yelling

Your ranting

For they are

Your mistakes

Your insecurities.

You say

You've lost all patience.

Did you ever possess

Such a virtue?

Or,

Are you concealing

Your mistakes

Your insecurities?

Have you allowed

Paranioa to set up shop?

Has the grasping

Control freak come to stay

With your mistakes

Your insecurities?

Stop.

Take control.

Take responsibility.

For your mistakes

Your insecurities.

I love this poem. It's so true and I feel like passing it out to people I know. Thanks for sharing.

Very fine message. Don't blame others for your mistakes and miscues. Wish the message would sink into more people.

Whew, You tell'em! You say out loud what many of us often think. I have total felt that way before. Nice one Jersey.
