Your Rights Are Being Taken Away!

I wanna take this chance to talk about two things that I think are important that the government is trying to take away from us right now, and hopefully maybe shed some light on a few things.

Right now in Congress, there are some major issues that will have a very swift and, I feel negative, effect on our country as we know it. Let's first talk about Healthcare.

Right now, there is legislation getting passed that will have a diar effect on your healthcare coverage in the future. This legislation is providing for the government to create a national healthcare system similiar to that of France, Great Britain, Canada and others. While it's a fairly accepted fact that the healthcare you would receive on this system is quite inferior to what you receive now, this is not the most important aspect of this legislation to me.

Embedded in this legislation is a section, that would make it illegal for private healthcare companies to sell NEW plans to individuals. If you listen closely at press conferences, you'll hear that Americans will have the choice to KEEP their healthcare and that's true. If you have an insurance policy already, you will be able to keep that coverage because it provides for a "grandfathering" effect to take place. But, what happens if you lose your job, change your job, get dropped, or something else that will make you lose your insurance. YOU CAN'T GET ANOTHER PRIVATE HEALTHCARE PLAN...YOU HAVE TO GO ON THE GOVERNMENT PLAN!!! It would then be illegal for the company to sell you a new insurance policy.

Now, what does this mean for our healthcare system as we know it. I believe it means that it won't be around much longer. Why? I'm glad you asked. Look at it like this. Let's say you are an insurance provider that insures 100 individuals. 10 die per year, 25 find new jobs or lose their current one, and another 5 get dropped from coverage. You just lost 40 Percent of your business. THE PROBLEM IS YOU CAN'T REPLINISH THAT LOST BUSINESS WITH NEW CONTRACTS. IT'S ILLEGAL...

This has a few horrible aspects to it. First, the principle of it is that our government is ruining our capitalist society which we all love so much. They're sticking their hands where it doesn't belong. Second, our premiums will skyrocket. The reason for this is simple...the less people you have paying premiums into the system, the less money there is to pay your bills with. You knock out 40% of customers, you just lost 40% of the money you had to pay everyone's bills the year before. DO NOT LET THEM DO THIS TO US GUYS...IT'S WRONG FOR STARTERS AND WILL HAVE A HORRIBLE NEGATIVE EFFECT FOR OUR FUTURES.

The second major issue that is about to happen is that you're about to be much more likely to be a victim of violent crime. You didn't know that? Yup. They wanna take away the right for citizens to own handguns. Now, I know a lot of people don't like handguns but here's why you still don't want this to happen. ONE OF THE BEST DETERRENTS IS A THREAT OF VIOLENCE IN RETALIATION. If a criminal worries you may have a gun and can kill him, he's more likely to reconsider making you a victim.

What they wanna do first is make you "register" your gun with the government. They say that this is for safety but it's not. It's because the next step will be to outlaw them, and since you (the good law-abiding citizens) have registered them and told them your damn address, they know where to come get it. So what just happened? THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT JUST DISARMED ALL GOOD CITIZENS AND I DOUBT THE CRACKHEAD RAPISTS AND MURDERERS TURNED THEIRS IN!!! THEY'RE STILL ARMED FOLKS! I hope you can lay a beating on someone with a broomstick and Matrix type bullet-dodging moves because it's gonna be all you got. Again, don't let this happen. Criminals in Jamaica, Austrailia and other countries who have done this will tell you that the reason they did it was because they knew they couldn't be shot at!

One more thing, did you know that Homeland Security is about to become a modern-day Gestapo. Free jurisdiction anywhere in the United States because they need that to combat "domestic terrorists". Do you know they just called right-wing conservatives "domestic terrorists"? Yup they did. So, if you are a conservative meeting in a group, look out because the Homeland Security Gestapo will have jurisdiction to treat YOU like a terrorist! What happens with they call the Baptist Church a "right-wing conservative terrorist group"? You wanna be hauled off for attending a Meeting with other terrorist on Sunday Mornings.

We have rights people and we need to stand up for them, fight for them, talk about them and try to keep them! I'm just bringing up some things for you to question and research yourself...
