Your are the center of my avid earth,
My avid earth with new things abound.
Why doest thou teach with exuberant worth,
Filling my mind with pellucid sound?
Why so large cost, having so short the time,
Dost thou upon thy fading moment spend?
Imprison me,pedagogue with words so fine,
Drama, poetry, sonnet, where do we begin?
Then edify me and I shall learn,
And fill my mind with things not known.
These precious hours as cold embers do burn,
Slowly transforming to be my own.
So shalt thou feed my mind, like none before,
And teach, once taught, I shall learn no more.
