Whom do I write for?
I don't write for the high-brow literary
jet-setters out there.
And I don't write for those
who judge poetry
for Pulitzer prizes
(although I could use the money).
I write for the
Joes and the Janes out there.
I write for Mom and Pop,
teachers and housewives,
doctors and students,
and other struggling writers out there.
I write for you, dear Reader.
You are it!

There's certainly something to be said about writing for the everyday person.
Write on.....although I would love to write something that would make me famous...I know it is never going to happen, so I write what I want and decline what I don't need! You have the spirit, which comes first and foremost in my eyes!
Aw....thanks! :-)

Very nice, I think that sums it up for most all of us here.....and I'm with Charlotte, I really started writing so I could pass a legacy on to the younger generations in our family, but also to maybe make a difference in the life of anyone who chooses to read what I have to share. Write on!
Thanks, I'm a Jane, I love poetry, just don't write much.
Great write!
