You're so Vain

Kitty Stevens
There once was a song
That suited you best
It spoke of one that was more vain than the rest.

I've written of love
To somebody else
and yet you still write me to move on like the rest.

Well honey, here's a little reality check.
The poems weren't about you,
and they never will be again.

So now let me tell you,
in one small refrain
that I moved on over a year ago
and am happy again.

    Thanks everyone.

Yeah, it's the poet heart's way of dealing with a stalker that wrote me that week.

Now, he officially know that the other love poems were for my new love. Not for him.
    ;)
