The World Cup Soccer Camp
The World Cup Soccer Camp, which is geared for children between the ages of five and 12, offers instructional guidance for children of all ability levels. The week-long program draws upon group activities and games that are designed to advance each campers soccer skills. The program will be offered in two sessions at Alverthorpe Park, located at Jenkintown Road and Forest Avenue. The first session will be held from 9 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday, July 19-23. The second session will be held from 9 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday, August 16-20. The cost to attend is $175 for residents and $185 for non-residents.
The FootworX Camp
The FootworX Camp, which is geared for children between the ages of seven and 14, provides campers with instructional guidance aimed at improving their ability to control the ball with both feet. The week-long program also teaches specific turns and moves that campers can use on the field when soccer season returns. The camp will be held at Alverthorpe Park, located at Jenkintown Road and Forest Avenue in Jenkintown, from 4pm to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, July 26-30. The cost to attend is $99 for residents and $109 for non-residents.
The NetBursting Camp
The NetBursting Camp, which is also geared for children between the ages of seven and 14, provides instructional guidance for shooting the ball into the net and goal keeping. After learning various shooting techniques, campers will then play scrimmage type games where they will have the opportunity to put what they've learned to the test. The camp will be held at Alverthorpe Park, located at Jenkintown Road and Forest Avenue in Jenkintown, from 4pm to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, July 26-30. The cost to attend is $99 for residents and $109 for non-residents.
For more information or to register your child, parents can drop by the Alverthorpe Manor Office at 515 Meetinghouse Road in Jenkintown between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. If you prefer to call ahead you may do so at 215-576-5213.
