YouTube Reptile Woman: Hoax or Demonic Possession?

Dom Coccaro
An intriguing video on YouTube is creating an online stir. Cryptozoologists and curious web surfers alike are befuddled by footage of a supposed shapeshifter. The 10-minute video shows a woman doing mundane things. At first, there doesn't seem to be anything unusual about the footage, but title cards are intercut with the video that point out subtle anomalies that you are likely to miss the first time around. A mystery analyst posits that this footage is evidence of reptilian possession.

If you look closely, you will see bizarre images that support the outlandish claim. The woman appears to have scales, sharp teeth, horns, cat-like eyes, and a ridged spine. These features come and go. The theory is that the demonic spirit inside of this woman is losing control of his possessive state. Another interesting sight is that of a towering monster that stands behind "Reptile Girl" in one frame. The footage is disturbing. Upon further inspection, the monster may be...a bag of chips that the woman is holding.

As with any cryptozoological beast, red flags of skepticism deflate the authenticity of the finding. Who is the woman in the video? Who is holding the camera? When was the footage shot? No one knows yet, which is why many believe that the video is a hoax. A well-edited hoax, but a hoax all the same. The woman's scaly skin could simply be video artifacting. Her angular, reptilian peepers could be the result of relucent lighting. Her pointy teeth could be distorted by shadows.

This video was posted three days ago, and already, it is making its rounds on social networking sites. It was brought to my attention by a friend who embedded the video in a bulletin on MySpace. You can see the footage for yourself by following the link at the bottom of this article. What do you think? Is the woman mutating into a giant lizard or is someone trying to create the next Loch Ness Monster?

It would be thrilling if these cryptozoological myths were based on fact, but as much as I want Bigfoot to exist, I don't believe that it's possible. Reptile Woman is a unique character, but I'm compelled to peg it as a hoax. The video is a little too obscure and a little too sensational. Do you see something that I don't?

Wow thats stupid, does anyone really buy into that crap? To see the number of comments saying stupid stuff like "I believe reptile people" makes me worry that people really do deserve to not live.

This looks like video artifacts ...
Here is a good page describing the effects.

I am noticing some strange stuff on youtube videos. I have been dying to ask others if they have to. (Things I wasn't looking for and were not advertised as any sort of reptilian morphing.) I tend to be cynical, but some of it I just don't see being explainable by video problems. Haven't checked out the reptile woman yet. But if anyone is interested, take a look at some of Ebert's old reviews on Philadelphia and Titanic. Or a Fox 13 video from Utah about prop 8. I've never seen anything quite like it.

it has to be a hoax there is no way a demon/evil spirit could manifest that strongly, because if they were able to then we would of been over run eons ago by demonss

For one all of you who are supporting this stupid thing here....you all need to hit up the original youtube video and read the fine typed words.
It mentions a large amount of money to the one who can REPRODUCE the same thing you see on the video.
Another thing i want to point out is that I have witnessed similar things. If you really would like to know and are curious then check up on this website www.realshapeshifters.com and read the LEGNASIN news bulletins.

4 mos ago i saw a lady's left eye morph black and back; her face altered too. This was only for a fraction of a second. Was real. ATS bumps this talk to 'skunkworks', they could give a crap.

I believe it is a hoax and the film was so distorted that I could not make out much of anything. Here is what I want, I want to hear from at least 1,000 people who have seen her actually do this and I want all these people to have cameras filming the same thing, compare the films and testimony, and then make a decision on whether it is true or not, because I really do not believe this.
