What Is Wrong With YouTube?
If you have children, you should be concerned if they spend too much of their time on YouTube. YouTube is a site where your children can see things most of us could not imagine are really available on the internet. With one click of the mouse, your children can be watching an endless list of XXX videos. One more click on YouTube, and your children can be watching a video of a live abortion. Some of the videos on YouTube are unimaginable. Your children can watch videos about live drive by shootings. You really need to pay attention to your kids and see what they are watching on YouTube.
Why Does It Matter?
Our minds are like computers. Your children's minds are also like computers. The mind sucks in everything we see and saves it as imformation. If you don't pay attention to what your children watch on YouTube, how do you know what imformation is warping their minds? Do you know if your children have watched XXX videos (with their friends) on YouTube. Do you know if your children have been watching pornography or nudity on YouTube? If you don't, it may be time for you to ask them. If you are not sure they are telling you the truth, you might have to check for yourself and see what they are watching on YouTube. If you are a teenager reading this, some things you see on YouTube can really warp your mind.

Tube can really warp their minds. Imagine the future of our country. Millions of teenagers are watching XXX videos, sex, nudity, murder, abortion etc. on YouTube everyday. I work with teenagers and I know. They talk about it everyday. Teenagers are looking for imformation during the development years. Watching YouTube can warp their ideas of sex, reality, and how to live their lives. Some teens could become addicted to XXX videos or even become addicted to watching YouTube itself.
Is YouTube All Bad?
YouTube is not all bad. There is imformation on nearly everything on YouTube. You and your children can learn about most anything on YouTube. However, YouTube is just like every site out there. You have to know what it is, what is on it, and how it can and probably will affect your children. As an adult, you also need to pay attention to what you may or may not watch on YouTube. If you find yourself going on to YouTube everyday to watch XXX videos or to watch other sick things, you may have a problem. So far, I haven't seen a phone number on YouTube for those who are addicted to their site to seek help. Who knows what the future with YouTube will bring. Just remember, accessibility isn't always good. It's how we use it, that's important.

YouTube porn vids don't last that long (if they make the cut). YouTube responds quickly to complaints, but then again, the internet was built on porn.

Oh my gosh, I didn't even know all this about YouTube - I've only visited the site once. As with everything, parents need to monitor what their children are seeing/reading online.
I know, but it's my job as a Christian author to get the word out. If I help one or a few people, I will consider it successful. I don't want to censor media, I want to let people know what the dangers can be with some sites like YouTubr
It's the same argument as television. What is too much to show? With the high number of latchkey and unsupervised kids, kids are bound to see anything that can be seen - whether it's readily available or not. Protecting children is important, but how much can we censor free media?
