Yu-Gi-Oh Card Clarifications and Errata A-D

The following cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game have undergone some recent changes in terms of their exact text and effect from A-D. Each of the cards listed below have a new clarified text and as of March first 2007 they were put into effect. The cards are listed by name, and also what sets they can be found in as well. Many cards were reprinted in multiple sets like Mirror Force, but the rulings are the same for each.

After Genocide (Legacy of Darkness)
[The title of card LOD-086 should be "After the Struggle".]

Amazon Archer (Labyrinth of Nightmare, Dark Beginning 1)
Tribute 2 monsters on your side of the field to inflict 1200 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Amazoness Fighter (Magician's Force, Dark Revelation vol.1)
[The ATK of Amazoness Fighter should be 1500.]

Appropriate (Pharaoh's Servant)
You can activate this card when your opponent draws a card outside of his/her Draw Phase. After that, each time your opponent draws cards outside of his/her Draw Phase, you draw 2 cards.

Aqua Spirit (Labyrinth of Nightmare, Dark Beginning 2)
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 1 WATER monster in your Graveyard. During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, you can change the battle position of 1 of your opponent's face-up Monster Cards. Once changed, the monster must remain in this position for the rest of the turn.

Armed Ninja (Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Starter Deck Pegasus, Dark Beginning 1)
FLIP: Select 1 Spell Card on the field and destroy it. If the selected card is Set, pick up and see the card. If it is a Spell Card, it is destroyed. If it is a Trap Card, return it to its original position.

Armored Glass (Pharaoh's Servant)
You can only activate this card when a monster is equpped with an Equip Card. Negate the effects of all Equip Cards on the field during the turn this card is activated.

Attack and Receive (Pharaoh's Servant, Dark Beginning 1)
You can only activate this card when you take damage to your Life Points. Inflict 700 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. Also, inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each "Attack and Receive" card in your Graveyard.

Bait Doll (Labyrinth of Nightmare)
Force the activation of 1 face-down Trap Card. If the timing of the activation of the Trap Card is incorrect, negate the effect and destroy it. If it is not a Trap Card, it is returned to its original position. After this card is activated, it is placed into the Deck (not the Graveyard). Then shuffle the Deck.

Barrel Behind the Door (Pharaonic Guardian, Dark Revelation vol.1)
You can only activate this card when an effect that inflicts damage to your Life Points is activated (except Battle Damage). Switch the Effect Damage you receive to your opponent's Life Points.

Bazoo the Soul-Eater (Labyrinth of Nightmare, Tournament Pack 5, Dark Beginning 2)
You can remove from play up to 3 Monster Cards in your Graveyard to increase the ATK of this monster by 300 points for each card removed from play, until the end of your opponent's next turn. This effect can only be used once during your turn.

Beastking of the Swamps (Tournament Packs 1 & 5)
You can substitute this card for any 1 Fusion-Material Monster. When you do this, the other Fusion-Material Monster(s) must be the correct one(s).

Berserk Dragon (Dark Crisis, Dark Revelation vol.1)
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "A Deal with Dark Ruler". This card can attack all monsters on your opponent's side of the field once each. Decrease the ATK of this card by 500 points during the End Phase of each of your turns.

Big Bang Shot (Magician's Force, Dark Revelation vol.1)
Increase the ATK of a monster equipped with this card by 400 points. When the equipped monster attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of a Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points. When this card is removed from the field, remove the equipped monster from play.

Big Shield Gardna (Tournament Pack 5, Dark Beginning 1)
[The title of card DB1-EN097 is misspelled, it should be "Big Shield Gardna".]

Bite Shoes (Pharaoh's Servant)
FLIP: Change the battle position of 1 face-up monster on the field.

Blast Juggler (Metal Raiders, Dark Beginning 1)
You can only activate this effect during your Standby Phase. Offer this face-up card as a Tribute to select and destroy 2 face-up monsters with an ATK 1000 or less.

Blast with Chain (Legacy of Darkness, Dark Beginning 2, Structure Deck: Warrior's Triumph)
After activation, this card is treated as an Equip Card that increases the ATK of the equipped monster by 500 points. Equip a monster on your side of the field with this card. If this card is destroyed by the effect of another card while it is an Equip Card, select 1 card on the field and destroy it.

Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon (Spell Ruler, Starter Deck Pegasus, Dark Beginning 1)
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned while "Toon World" is on your side the field. You can Special Summon this monster from your hand, but Tributes are required for monsters Level 5 or more. This card cannot attack in the turn that it is Summoned. Unless you pay 500 Life Points, this monster cannot attack. When "Toon World" on the field is destroyed, this card is also destroyed. If your opponent doesn't control a Toon Monster, this card can attack your opponent's Life Points directly. If a face-up Toon Monster is on your opponent's side of the field, your must select the Toon Monster as an attack target.

Boar Soldier (Spell Ruler)
If this card is Normal Summoned, destroy this card. If your opponent controls 1 or more monsters, decrease the ATK of this card by 1000 points.

Bombardment Beetle (Pharaoh's Servant, Dark Beginning 1)
FLIP: Pick up and see 1 face-down Defense Position Monster Card on your opponent's side of the field. If it is an Effect Monster, destroy it (its Flip Effect is not activated), and if the card is not, return it to its original position.

Burning Beast (Magician's Force, Dark Revelation vol.1)
Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to your "Freezing Beast" as an Equip Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this card's effect, each time the equipped monster inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, destroy 1 face-up Spell or Trap Card on the field. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy this card instead.)

Burning Land (Pharaoh's Servant, Dark Beginning 1)
Destroy all Field Spell Cards on the field. Inflict 500 points of damage to each player's Life Points during his/her Standby Phase.

Buster Blader (Pharaoh's Servant, 2003 Collector's Tins, Duelist League 1, Dark Beginning 1)
Increase the ATK of this card by 500 points for each Dragon-Type monster on your opponent's side of the field and in your opponent's Graveyard.

Cannon Soldier (Metal Raiders, Dark Beginning 2)
Tribute 1 monster on your side of the field to inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Catapult Turtle (Metal Raiders, Dark Beginning 2)
Tribute 1 monster on your side of the field. Inflict damage equal to half of the Tributed monster's ATK to your opponent's Life Points.

Ceasefire (Pharaoh's Servant, Dark Beginning 1)
Flip all face-down Defense Position monsters on the field face-up. Flip Effects are not activated at this time. Inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each Effect Monster on the field.

Centrifugal Field (Flaming Eternity)
When a Fusion Monster(s) is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, the owner of that Fusion Monster selects 1 of the Fusion Material Monsters written in the card text of that Fusion Monster from his/her Graveyard and Special Summons it to the field.

Chain Destruction (Pharaoh's Servant, Tournament Pack 4, Dark Beginning 1)
You can activate this card when a monster with an ATK 2000 or less is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned. Destroy all monsters with the same name in the summoning player's hand and Deck. The Deck is then shuffled.

Chain Disappearance (Invasion of Chaos, Dark Revelation vol. 2)
You can only activate this card when a monster(s) with an ATK of 1000 or less is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned. Remove from play those Summoned monster(s), and your opponent removes from play all monsters of the same name in their hand and Deck. Their Deck is then shuffled.

Chain Energy (Spell Ruler, Dark Beginning 1)
Each player must pay 500 Life Points per card to Normal Summon, Special Summon, Set or activate cards from his/her respective hand.

Change of Heart (Metal Raiders, Starter Decks: Yugi, Joey, Pegasus, Yugi Evolution, Kaiba Evolution, Dark Beginning 1)
Select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field. Take control of the selected monster until the End Phase of this turn.

Charm of Shabti (Pharaonic Guardian, Dark Revelation vol.1)
Discard this card from your hand. Until the End Phase, make the Battle Damage to monsters that include "Gravekeeper's" in their card name 0.

Cobra Jar (Pharaonic Guardian, Dark Revelation vol.1)
FLIP: Special Summon 1 "Poisonous Snake Token" (Reptile-Type/EARTH/3 Stars/ATK 1200/DEF 1200). When the "Poisonous Snake Token" is destroyed as a result of battle, inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Cocoon of Evolution (Metal Raiders, Dark Beginning 1)
You can equip this card from your hand as an Equip Spell Card to a face-up "Petit Moth" on the field. If equipped, the ATK and DEF of "Cocoon of Evolution" is applied to "Petit Moth".

Coffin Seller (Pharaonic Guardian, Dark Revelation vol.1)
Each time Monster Card(s) are sent to your opponent's Graveyard, inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Collected Power (Labyrinth of Nightmare)
Select 1 face-up monster on the field. Equip this monster with all face-up Equip Cards on the field. If the target of the Equip Card is not correct, destroy the Equip Card.

Command Knight (2004 Collector's Tins, Dark Beginning 2, Structure Deck: Warrior's Triumph)
While at least 1 other monster exists on your side of the field, your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. Also, as long as this card remains face-up on the field, increase the ATK of all your Warrior-Type monsters by 400 points.

Confiscation (Spell Ruler, Dark Beginning 1)
Pay 1000 Life Points. Look at your opponent's hand, select 1 card among them and discard it to the Graveyard.

Contract with the Abyss (Dark Crisis, Dark Revelation vol.1)
This card is used to Ritual Summon any DARK Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from the field or your hand whose total Levels equal the Level of the Ritual Monster you are Ritual Summoning.

Curse of Royal (Pharaonic Guardian, Tournament Pack 5, Dark Beginning 2)
Negate the activation and the effect of a Spell or Trap Card that includes the effect of destroying 1 Spell or Trap Card and destroy it.

Cyber Jar (Spell Ruler, Dark Beginning 1)
FLIP: Destroy all monsters on the field. Both players then pick up 5 cards from the top of their respective Decks and Special Summon all Level 4 or lower Monster Cards among them on the field in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position. The rest of the cards picked up are added to their respective hands.

Cyclon Laser (Labyrinth of Nightmare, Dark Beginning 2)
You can only equip this card to "Gradius". Increase the ATK of "Gradius" by 300 points. When the equipped "Gradius" attacks with an ATK that is higher than the DEF of a Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Dark Coffin (Pharaonic Guardian, Dark Beginning 2)
When this face-down card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, your opponent selects and executes 1 of the following effects:
*Discard 1 random card in their hand.
*Select 1 monster on their side of the field and destroy it.

Dark Necrofear (Labyrinth of Nightmare, Duelist League 2, Dark Beginning 2)
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 3 Fiend-Type monsters in your Graveyard. If this card is destroyed as a result of battle or by your opponent's card effect while it is a Monster Card, it is treated as an Equip Card during the End Phase of this turn, and equip 1 of your opponent's monsters with this card. As long as it is equipped with this card, you control the equipped monster.

Dark Room of Nightmare (Pharaonic Guardian, Dark Revelation vol.1, Structure Deck: Blaze of Destruction)
Each time damage, except Battle Damage, is inflicted to your opponent's Life Points, inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. This card's effect is not applied to the effect of "Dark Room of Nightmare".

Dark Zebra (Spell Ruler)
If this is the only Monster Card in your control during your Standby Phase, it is changed to Defense Position. You cannot change the position of this card during the same turn.

Deck Devastation Virus (Flaming Eternity)
Tribute 1 DARK monster with an ATK of 2000 points or more on your side of the field. Check all monsters on your opponent's side of the field, your opponent's hand, and all cards he/she draws (until the end of your opponent's 3rd turn after this card's activation), and destroy all monsters with an ATK of 1500 or less.

Deepsea Warrior (Pharaoh's Servant, Dark Beginning 1)
As long as "Umi" is face-up on the field, this card is unaffected by any Spell Cards.

De-Fusion (Labyrinth of Nightmare, Dark Beginning 2)
Return 1 Fusion Monster on the field to the Fusion Deck. In addition, if all the Fusion Material Monsters that were used for the Fusion Summon of that Fusion Monster are in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon them all to the field.

Delinquent Duo (Spell Ruler, Dark Beginning 1)
Pay 1000 Life Points. Your opponent randomly selects and discards 1 card from his/her hand and then selects and discards another card from his/her hand.

Des Dendle (Magician's Force, Dark Revelation vol.1)
Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to your "Vampire Orchis" as an Equip Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this card's effect, each time the equipped monster destroys 1 of your opponent's monsters, Special Summon 1 "Wicked Plant Token" (Plant-Type/EARTH/1 Star/ATK 800/DEF 800). (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy this card instead.)

De-Spell (Starter Decks: Yugi, Kaiba, Joey, Pegasus, Kaiba Evolution)
Select 1 Spell Card on the field and destroy it. If the selected card is Set, pick up and see the card. If it is a Spell Card, it is destroyed. If it is a Trap Card, return it to its original position.

Destiny Board (Labyrinth of Nightmare, Dark Beginning 2)
At the end of each of your opponent's turns, place 1 "Spirit Message" card from your hand or your Deck face-up on the field. If it is from your Deck, then shuffle your Deck. When "Spirit Message" cards "I", "N", "A", and "L" are all on your side of the field in their proper order, you are declared the winner. If any of your "Spirit Message" cards or "Destiny Board" are removed from the field, all your "Spirit Message" cards and "Destiny Board" on the field are sent to your Graveyard immediately.

Disarmament (Magician's Force, Dark Revelation vol.1)
Destroy all Equip Cards on the field.

DNA Surgery (Pharaoh's Servant, Dark Beginning 1)
When you activate this card, declare 1 Type of monster. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all face-up monsters become the Type you declared.

Dragon Capture Jar (Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Starter Deck Pegasus, Tourament Pack 3, Dark Beginning 1)
As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all face-up Dragon-Type monsters are changed to Defense Position and cannot change their Battle Position.

Dragon Piper (Metal Raiders, Dark Beginning 2)
FLIP: Destroy all face-up "Dragon Capture Jar"(s) on the field. If you destroy any, change all face-up Dragon-Type monsters on the field to Attack Position.

Dust Tornado (Pharaoh's Servant, Starter Deck Kaiba Evolution, Structure Decks: Zombie Madness, Blaze of Destruction)
Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on your opponent's side of the field. You can then Set 1 Spell or Trap Card from your hand.
