When you have lived in New York City for a length of time, you start to consider that perhaps you have seen everything. Not a whole lot surprises you; even neighborhoods you are not too familiar with don't ruffle your feathers too much. You've seen everything! Check me on that last point as there is a place, I just recently learned about, which I had not known of before.

Yunhong Chopsticks is an allegedly high end chopstick retailer, very well known in the Asian world. Why not? They use chopsticks, why shouldn't there be classy versions of the familiar, break apart, wooden stick. I'm sure Asians unfamiliar with Western Culture having only visited the most basic of American restaurant might even consider that we perhaps eat all of our food with plastic knives and forks! Moreover they could think all of our food comes wrapped in wax paper! So while this news was new for me, I can't say that I was all that shocked to learn this.

Yunhong Chopsticks is actually the biggest franchise of chopsticks in China. They make very elegant and top-quality chopsticks. If you have ever spent any time in China or if you have relocated to the states, eating meals out with these wooden sticks might be not just insulting but also a little saddening. You shouldn't be sad; so check in with Yunhong Chopsticks on Mott Street and see just what they've got.

Yunhong Chopsticks and Mott Street are located just west of the Bowery in a very industrial area of Chinatown. You're within a block or so of the Manhattan Bridge and the Yunhong store is located just south of Canal Street. Actually in that spot where Mott Street is, is more on the outskirts of Chinatown. If you are checking out SoHo or the downtown residential areas near City Hall and all that, you could wander over towards Mott Street and actually happen upon Yunhong Chopsticks.

However if you are not familiar with this area, you can still go and check out their more than 50 different styles of Chopstick. If you are a resident of Chinatown or you have spent some time down there then you already know that this section of Mott Street is where things begin to change somewhat. There's nothing wrong with that though so if you want to get yourself some fresh chopsticks or even if you're just tired of eating out Chinese with the wooden sticks many of us have become familiar with, why not stop on by to Yunhong Chopsticks and see what's cooking?
