Yvette Prieto and Michael Jordan Buy a House; Marko Jaric and Adriana Lima Wed, While Vernon Davis and Niecy Nash Are Dating

Michael Jordan is back in the news, and not for his basketball career achievements. This time it's because Michael Jordan and his Cuban model girlfriend, Yvette Prieto, have purchased a home in Miami.

Jordan and Prieto reportedly took out a 30 year mortgage, on a 5,500 square foot, three bedroom home in Miami. Cost of the home is reported $281,000. The home may seem humble and small for the basketball great, but it may be due to Prieto's previous financial difficulties. Yvette Prieto filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to media reports.

Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto have been dating since summer of 2007. Jordan divorced his wife of 17 years in 2006, in what is said to have been an ugly and costly divorce. Yvette Prieto is a model, but does not have the fame to her name yet. It has been said that Prieto previously dated Julio Iglesias, Jr.

Jordan and Prieto house buying news fuels celebrity gossip rumors that the couple may be walking down the aisle soon. There is no official word that Jordan and Prieto are marrying anytime soon, at least not according to their spokespeople.

Sports star that definitely did walk down the aisle recently is NBA star Marko Jaric. Marko Jaric and long-time girlfriend Adriana Lima married on Valentine's Day, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The wedding ceremony was said to be a small and private gathering. Lima is best known for her Victoria's Secret modeling work, including annual Victoria's Secret fashion shows where she wears her Angel wings. Jaric is a guard for Minnesota Timberwolves.

Adriana Lima is said to be pregnant with the couple's first child.

Other sports stars have been making celebrity gossip pages as well. San Francisco 49ers tight end, Vernon Davis, is said to be dating Niecy Nash.

Nash is known for her famous comedic role on "Reno 911", a popular Comedy Central show. Niecy Nash is also the host of Clean House on the Style Network. Nash was married for 13 years to an ordained minister, Don Nash, but filed for divorce in June 2007.

Vernon Davis, NFL star for San Francisco 49ers, was the highest paid tight end in the National Football League in 2006. San Francisco signed him to a 5 years, $23 million football contract.

Vernon and Nash have started dating recently, making their first public appearances as a couple at several 2009 Oscar parties.
