Zac Efron - Cute and Profound

A Commentary from an HR Specialist

Mary Rose Gob
It is seldom that I get to like an actor. The likes of Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson and Richard Gere goes in my dictionary for the types of actors that gets my high regards of. Seldom will you also mix description of "Cute" with "Profound". But with Zac Efron, that boy with expressive eyes, shack of curly brown hair and perked nose, I can say that he is indeed cute yet deep.

High School Musical

Why did I say this? Well, the first movie of Zac Efron that I've seen was in High School Musical. I liked the movie so much because it featured good values for youths, provided best options for meaning fun other than drugs like joining basketball, academic competition and musicales. Zac Efron's rendition of "Get'cha Head on the Game" teaches focus and "We're All in This Together" promotes teamwork. These are skills that youths must develop to become successful in the corporate world. And it is a good choice for Zac Efron because it puts him in a wholesome light.

Hair Spray

Being a good actor means ability to express what the script or story asks for in a portrayed character. Zac Efron's eyes are very expressive and his facial expressions while singing and dancing mean he felt the content of the song. Though his role in Hairspray is light, still the movie's message sends good values to youths. He's not overacting and his talents in dancing and singing show he's a really gifted person.

Me and Orson Wells

It is not surprising that this kid took on a more serious role in Zac Efron's new movie, Me and Orson Wells. As a protégée, his role in the movie, he gets to see the life of a known person and learns from the experience. His interview in Times where he answers 10 Questions (Source: http://www.time.com/time/video/player/0,32068,51407740001_1940781,00.html), will show you how smart Zac Efron is. He thinks first before he answers.

Of course this is my opinion. Let me know yours and send me your comment.
