Zack Ryder Suffers Broken Back

Spy Radio

On the January 23 rd 2012, episode of Monday Night Raw, Zack Ryder sustained an injury during his Match with Kane. Ryder was facing Kane in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. The Match brought the Superstars to the top of the entrance ramp, where Kane delivered a massive 'Choke Slam' to Ryder. The 'Choke Slam' sent Ryder flying through the floor. The medical team rushed out to Ryder's aid. They carried Ryder out of the stadium on a stretcher before placing him in an ambulance. The ambulance took Ryder to a Phoenix Trauma Center nearby. Early reports from the Trauma Center are indicating that Ryder may have suffered a broken back.

Ryder's injury could not have come at a worse time. Before the injury Ryder was working is way up the Raw Roster. When 2011 started, Ryder hardly ever appeared on Raw. Instead of sitting around and waiting for the opportunity, Ryder took the initiative and started his own Youtube Show, "Z True Long Island Story". After gaining more than 100,000 views on a weekly basis the WWE finally gave Ryder his shot. Before 2011 ended, Ryder became the United States Champion. It appeared Ryder was going to have a great 2012 until his injury sidelined him.

Now that Ryder is injured he may continue "Z True Long Island Story". Ryder was approaching the one year mark on his show. As the final weeks are approaching Ryder has been promoting the spin off of his show "CHI! True Long Island Story". The spin off had me wondering if Ryder was going to end his original show. Now that Ryder is injured I do not think he will end "Z True Long Island Story".

Ryder will not end "Z True Long Island Story" because he needs to stay in touch with the WWE Universe while he recovers. It has not been reported how long Ryder will be out of action but if the initial reports of a broken back are true, Ryder will probably miss eight months at the minimum. During that eight months Ryder will need something to keep him busy. It would also be a good idea for him to stay current with the WWE Universe. The best way for Ryder to do that is to continue making weekly episodes of "Z True Long Island Story".

Such a terrible thing to happen. But if he can continue his show it will keep him in touch with his fans while also generating more support.
