The Internet offers many games. However, for those people who are searching for a new word or logic game, that game can be hard to find. There are always new games, but they always have the same concept.

ZChurk is a game that offers completely new game play along with words and logic. If anybody has ever wanted to combine Tetris, Scrabble, and Boggle, ZChurch is the perfect game.

There are two modes for playing ZChurck. There's the puzzle mode in which a single player plays a game. Then there's the live mode in which players can compete against other players in a 12 minute round.

When the game first loads, there is a board that looks similar to a Scrabble board. However, the colored squares for double and triple letter and word scores may not always be placed in the same places as on a Scrabble board. Then, there are tiles that are arranged so there are four to a piece. Each tile contains one letter with the score for that letter on it. They look like blue scrabble tiles.

Tetrads with a yellow outline can be rotated. This is done by pressing the arrow keys. Other tiles cannot be rotated.

The goal of the game is to place the tetrads of tiles on the board so that words can be made. The yellow circle on the board must be covered by a tile. It is usually in the center of the board, but this is not guaranteed. It may be placed elsewhere.

Tetrads placed on the board must touch. If they do not touch, they are not valid and the game cannot continue.

Once they are placed, word entry can begin. Words can be found as long as the tiles touch horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Words can switch direction at any time as long as the tiles touch. A single tile cannot be used more than once in a word.

To enter words, the words are simply typed. The tiles should change color as the letters are typed. To enter the words after typing, the enter key is then pressed. If the word is valid or not previously used, it will be accepted and the score will be added to a players total score.

Tetrads can be moved after original placement. However, if they are moved, words that are no longer in the arrangement will be lost when they are moved. The score will also be subtracted from the total score. New words that can be made are entered and accepted just as the previous ones.

One other thing is that sometimes there are blank tiles which appear with no letter and a score of 0. To assign a letter to a blank tile, the tile is clicked and then a letter is typed. The letter can always be changed, but if it is changed that means the words that used the previous letter will be lost as well as the score from the previous words.

Words are scored by the scores located on the tiles. The values of the letters are added for a word. Then, if the letters of a word are on top of bonus squares, those are added. Light blue bonus squares are double letter scores. Dark blue bonus squares are triple letter scores. Pink bonus squares are double word scores. Red bonus squares are triple word scores.

Also, there is a word length bonus. Any words that are six letters are given a 25 point bonus. Then, any words that have more than six letters get the 6-letter word 25 point bonus and 25 points per extra letter.

ZChurk definitely offers a variety of game play all in one game. It is also a great and safe family game. A free account can be made at the website, or the game can be played as a guest. ZChurk can be played by visiting http://games.wode.com/zchurk.php

Sounds like a fun game. I think I will try it. I just hope it doesn't interfere in my online work, lol. :)
