Zelda Twilight Princess: Guide to the Final Fight with Gannondorf!

First you had to find the pieces of a sacred mask, then you had to find the lost shards of a broken mirror, then defeat the false king Zant. Now after a long hard fight, Link will finally have the chance to take on the King of all evil, Gannondorf, and it will not be an easy fight. Gannon has multiple forms, all of which require certain tricks to beat, and each of his attacks are quick and powerful, so be prepared for one of the toughest boss fights to date, the final showdown with Gannondorf.

In his first form Gannondorf will become a pig like beast (resembling the original Gannon from Legend of Zelda) and Link will be forced to fight as a human and wolf, which is the first trick to this fight. When Gannon runs at Link take aim with your bow and arrow and strike him on the head. This will send Gannon to the floor at which time Link will be able to slash his underside with his sword.

The after Gannon has been hit a few times by arrows he will use inter-dimensional rifts to run between Hyrule and another realm. At this point Link must become a wolf and follow the purple holes that define where Gannon is located. When one of these holes flashes different colors Gannon will emerge in beast form at which point Link (as a Wolf) will need to use correct timing and hit the A button when the game gives the action command. Hold A until you are instructed to tilt the thumbstick left or right. Doing this will send Gannon to the floor for an open attack. Change back into Link's human form and attack with your sword, this will cause more damage and finish the fight quicker.

Next the fight will take place in Hyrule fields. Gannon has decided to opt for the outdoors in this next fight, and on horseback, so this battle will involve some maneuvering. You need to get close to Gannondorf so that Zelda, who decided to join the fight, can use her Light arrows, and then have Link deliver some very devastating blows with the Master Sword.

Gannon will use two kinds of attack in this fight, one is summoning ghost riders to attack Link and the other is to fire an energy blast from horseback. All you have to do to win this fight is get close, and follow Gannondorf's movements. Speed up whenever possible and be ready to slash your sword at any given time once Zelda has hit her mark. To dodge the energy blast just move out of the way, and the same goes for the ghost riders, running around them is the best tactic.

The last fight with the evil king will take place in a fiery circular arena. Here in a last desperate attempt to regain control Gannondorf will challenge Link to a one on one duel. In this fight all the player really needs to do is stand back and wait for Gannon to charge Link. When he does you'll be thrust into a sword match where you need to tap A over and over again. If you do this successively then Gannondorf will be thrown off guard and you'll have your chance to strike with whatever technique you choose. Do this three times and the fight will be over and the Evil King Gannondorf will be done. Now just sit back and enjoy the ending of Zelda Twilight Princess.

Be sure to always keep some potions on hand, Blue and Purple are the best, especially purple because it will give you a major damage boost and finish a fight quicker. Also try and have at least one or two fairies on hand in case you get careless and loose track of how many hearts you have remaining. This final boss fight is not overly tough, and if you know the techniques need to beat each of Gannondorf's forms it will be a breeze. Good Luck!
