In all Zelda games it is Twilight princess that had one of the most unexpected and yet most memorable boss fights of all time, and that was between the one and only Princess Zelda and our hero Link. Although she was possessed by Gannon at the time the battle was still something of a shock to many players, and can be a long tough fight. Zelda is a quick opponent who uses a couple of powerful attacks, and the timing that is key to the battle is hard to master.
Many fans of the series will recognize immediately the method in which you'll need to use to defeat Zelda. She uses an attack that is referenced in many games but most closely resembles the attack Gannondorf used in Zelda Ocarina of Time. Zelda will fly into the air then charge a large ball of energy that she will hurl at Link. Link must then use his sword as a "bat" and hit the ball of energy back at Zelda. This has to be done three times.
The only problem you may face with this task is the speed Zelda displays, and the timing. Zelda is a quick opponent and will be able to move around the arena with ease so make sure you lock on with the Z target, or keep your camera angle adjusted to keep her in your sights at all times. Timing is also the other key issue, after deflecting the first attack Zelda may or may not reflect it back at you, if she does immediately swing your sword, even if it seems too early. Each successive hit between Zelda and Link will speed up the pace of the energy ball and if it continues Link may be forced to swing his blade almost right after returning the energy ball back to Zelda.
Watch for Zelda's other attack where she will light up a triangular pattern in the ground and cause some serious damage. If Zelda slows down in mid air and does not ready an energy ball for attack you can be sure she'll be her only other move. Watch for the ground to light up, and just when it does roll to the right, or left possibly, whatever is easiest. This attack can be hard to dodge sometimes because there is hardly any time between the time the ground lights up until it explodes, so just be on your toes.
This fight, although long, is not too difficult if you have quick reflexes, so no need to worry. At most you may have to use a red or blue potion, but other then that try and grab hearts within the pots on the sides of the arena. Still be sure to keep all your bottles filled with some form of potion because right after this duel with the Princess you'll be taking on the evil King Gannon himself. Keeping a fairy on hand may not be such a bad idea either. So once you defeat the possessed Zelda you have only one task ahead of you and that's taking out the one and only Gannondorf!
