Zhu Zhu Hamster Babies

Just in time for harvest season and Halloween the Zhu Zhu Pets offer us Pumpkin the baby hamster. Of course Pumpkin isn't just for autumn but will be just as popular for Christmas and other gift giving occasions as well. Pumpkin isn't the only baby hamster that Zhu Zhu Pets offer either. There are six baby hamsters: Peanut, Snickle Fritz, Butter Cheeks, Baby Cakes, Pumpkin and Muffin. Each baby is wearing a diaper and is packaged with a few accessories.

Pumpkin is a tan hamster baby with white paws. Pumpkin is wearing a pink diaper which has a pumpkin design stamped on it. The package also contains a pink bottle, a purple bath time duck toy and a blue shampoo bottle. How long do you think it will be before there are Halloween costumes available for Pumpkin?

Snickle Fritz is a white hamster baby and is wearing a green diaper. Snickle Fritz is packaged with a green bottle, a blue feeding dish or bowl and a pink spoon. I know it is an optical illusion but Snickle Fritz looks smaller to me.

Peanut is a light tan baby hamster with white paws and is wearing a blue diaper. Since Peanut has a blue diaper do you think he is a boy hamster? He may have a blue teddy bear and a rattle in his package.

Butter Cheeks is a light golden baby hamster with white paws and ears. She is wearing a purple diaper and her package contains a purple bottle, rattle and a comb. Her little white ears and paws make Butter Cheeks quite adorable.

Muffin is a dark gray baby hamster with white ears and paws. Muffin is wearing a white diaper and is packaged with a white bottle and other accessories. Muffin is pictured in a bassinet. Maybe Muffin is the youngest baby hamster?

Baby Cakes is a light gray baby hamster with white paws and ears. Baby Cakes is wearing a white diaper and also has three accessories included in the package. This baby hamster could be a girl or a boy? I guess Baby Cakes is just cute.

All of the baby hamsters have a roller ball on the bottom of their bodies which allow them to roll. The roller ball also allows them to glide in the stoller. The stroller is a double stroller for two baby hamsters and may be pushed by one of the regular Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters like Jilly. The stroller is sold as part of set.

I found Pumpkin at Toys R Us and Snickle Fritz at WalMart. I have no idea how easy or difficult is going to be to purchase these toys. When I found Pumpkin at Toys R Us it was the only one on display; cost was $3.49. There were many other Zhu Zhu accessories but the amount of different items varied. I'm sure there will be favorite Zhu Zhu Hamsters, Hamster Babies and Hamster City accessories that will be sought for gifts.
