Zhu Zhu Pets are this year's version of Beanie Babies, Furby, or Tickle Me Elmo. With a list price of under 10 dollars, the scarcity of these battery-operated Zhu Zhu hamsters has driven the price up to a sellers market, much like the Nintendo Wii in recent years. Parents can use NowInStock.net's Zhu Zhu Pet tracker to try and buy Zhu Zhu Pets when they become available at Amazon and Toys R Us, as well as box stores like Walmart and Target.
Twilight products are the next big holiday pre-order. With the Twilight sequel, New Moon, debuting in movie theatres on November 20, the Twilight-themed toys will be hot sellers for its young tween fans. Products include a Scene It? Twilight DVD game, Barbie doll versions of Edward and Bella, and a New Moon board game, 2010 wall calendar, and a set of 4 action figures.
The popular Nickelodeon television show iCarly has spawned a treasure trove of themed products with will be finding themselves under the tree this holiday season. iCarly products include Sam's Remote, Megabyte Mic Microphone, and a pair of Sam and Carly Dolls.
Disney has a large market share in the holiday shopping. The Disney Channel always has an advantage in programming to promote their by-products during commercial breaks of their popular shows. Popular Disney gifts this year include Disney Netpals, Pixar Toy Story Interactive Buddies, and Disney Princess: Just One Kiss Tiana Doll.
Nerf, a holiday constant for the last 40 years, has another hit on their hands with the Nerf N-Strike Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 Dart Blaster. The newest foam assault weapon fires an astonishing total of 35 Nerf darts at a time, enough to take down your younger sibling's Zhu Zhu hamster.
Video games will round out the year's biggest toy sellers this year, with hot sales of video games like Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports Resort, Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Halo 3: ODST, Rock Band: The Beatles, Guitar Hero 5, and Scribblenauts. Along with the games, the lowered console prices will result in some happy spending. The Wii is now $199 and the PS3 is $299.
Popular books for kids will be dictated by the fall's new movie schedule. Expect hot sales for Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga, Judi and Ron Barrett's Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and Maurice Sendak's timeless classic Where the Wild Things Are.

It's kind of Zhu Zhu Pets Fair where any girl and any boy can find something special for yourself. It's a really good time for boys who like these toys, because the new kung zhu line of hamsters is awesome!
I found zhu zhu pets in Poland at http://www.akupiszmi.pl/interaktywne/zwierzatka/zhu-zhu-pets.html
My doughter is so happy :-)
It is crazy. Ever notice how the eBay resellers mysteriously never run out of inventory? They corner the market and sell at their whim. I learned last season though (when I was buying my Wii Console) how these resellers do it. It is rather simple if you have a browser and some patience.
It's all explained here: http://hardtogetonline.com.
Anyway, good luck...It's what I will be using.
Hey everyone I've bee nsearching for these critters for a long time for my 6 grandchildren. So far I've found 3 of them using numerous trackers. 2 of the toys I found from www.ZhuTracker.com because they have near instant email notificatons that you can signup for. If anyone knows if they will be in stock anytime soon please email me at margarete.bob@sbcglobal.net thanks!
If this helps anyone out there, I found the Zhu Zhu Hamsters at gamestock.ecrater.com. Fast shipping -- mine just arrived yesterday.
These are great and the kids are going nuts for them. The prices are definitely irrational and hope the supply demand thing will settle out ok for the holiday. Hate to see people spending $80 for a $30 product at best. http://hamstergogo.com/
All Walmart & ToyRus stores will have Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters in-stock at opening on Sunday, November 8th. http://www.christmastoystore.com/forum/topic/23
I checked out those trackers some of you mentioned. I'm neither impressed nor satisfied. They don't seem to update accurately and by the time they announce the toys are in stock.. they aren't any more. I also checked out Leo's suggestion of GetZhuZhu.com and was impressed. I haven't order anything there or elsewhere yet, but GetZhuZhu will be taken into consideration. I'm still hoping to find some in stores for retail price, but in a week or so, I'll cave in and order online. Wish me luck!
