Zippy's offers two locations in Honolulu, Hawaii. There is a Zippy's located at 601 Kapahulu Avenue, and one at 1725 King Street. These family restaurants offer good, wholesome food at very reasonable prices. Some visitors to Honolulu compare Zippy's to Denny's, but remark that Zippy's has better food and a friendlier atmosphere. Zippy's offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
Zippy's breakfast menu is limited, but you will find all of the essentials. And a complete breakfast meal will only cost you between five and ten bucks. For lunch and dinner, Zippy's selection is significantly wider, offering burgers, steaks, chicken, pork, fish, salads, and chili. Lunch and dinner generally runs between seven and fifteen bucks per person.
Zippy's doesn't offer many frills, but the food is consistently good, and it's a great place to go when you are running low on cash. It is also a great place to dine among the locals. After your meal, you can treat yourself to a delicious dessert from Zippy's in-house bakery.
I highly recommend the hot open roast beef sandwich with fries. The burgers are decent if you are eating on the fly. But I would generally stay away from the steaks. Save the steaks for a night at your favorite Honolulu steakhouse. Chili is quite popular in Hawaii, and Zippy's is one place that does it exceptionally well, so you might want to try it here first.
The service is fine at Zippy's. You won't wait long for your meal, so if you have a full day planned, and you want a quick bite, Zippy's might just be the way to go. The restaurant chain is very family friendly, and the more people you bring, the more money you will save for one of your more expensive meals on the island of Oahu.
The Kapahulu location is just outside of Waikiki and thus very convenient. The King Street location is great if you're spending the day downtown. If you are in the mood for good, wholesome food in a comfortable, clean no-frills atmosphere at an entirely reasonable price, Zippy's Restaurant is one of your best bets on the beautiful island of Oahu. Enjoy your meal at Zippy's, Honolulu's family restaurant. And if you are in the Wahiawa area, check out their location near Wahiawa General hospital.

Post a CommentAte at Zippys on 2/12 and was sick all day with stomach flu on 2/13. Guess that says it all.
I am a born hawaiian that moved to the North shore of British Columbia, Canada or Vancouver B.C.for people that don't know where it is. Anyway I grew up with Zippy's Restraunt for 20 years before relocating to Vancouver, B.C. in 1983 of December & been here ever since. I do miss it, every chance I have when I do make it home for a visit; that's the first place I take off too is my old eating grounds where I love going to with my parents, both are gone now , but the memories still there. I have tolded alot of people here as to how good the foods are at ZIPPY'S & that they should try it, they might like it. Anyway keep the good food cooking & who knows I might just pop in with families & friends from here Vancouver, B.C. Well thanks for keeping Zippy's alive & it's traditional food for all who enjoy's it & loves it like I do . Your biggest fan since childhood. Mahalo. Lei from Vancouver,B.C.
