Zlio.com: Open a Free E-store and Earn Commissions

If you have a blog or website, you might be looking into ways to make a little money from it. Aside from affiliate programs there are some 'shop' programs. With these, you can own your own online shop, where you pick the products and get to name it. You usually get a commission on items you sell. Beware some will require money, but most are free.

The 'shop' program that I have heard the most about is zlio.com. They have thousands of top internet merchants to choose products from for your shop. Opening a Zlio.com shop is completely free. There is no IT or programming skills necessary on your part since you can create your shop using one of their many templates, however if you do have some knowledge about HTML and junk you can personalize your shop even more. Commissions vary from product to product, or merchant to merchant, so there is no set percentage of commission. I kind of like it this way because you are not caped at a percentage.

Zlio works like a drop shipper, when someone orders from your shop, it is sent with no effort on your part. Nor do you have to deal with customer service. The only thing you have to do to make money from this is advertise your ZlioShop. Because, if there is no traffic, there is no one to buy stuff.

There is an easy way to share your shop on your blog, click on where is says add to blog and just follow the steps. You can be as professional or lax as you want when it comes to advertising and promoting. Some of the heavy lifting is already done, since the main search engines automatically reference your shop when it is set up.

Before commission on any product is credited to you, it must be validated, but after that, Zlio will transfer the money to the paypal account on record for you. Therefore, you will need a paypal account to open a zlio.com shop (the basic paypal account is free to open). You can also earn a commission when referring new members, you will get ten percent of their total commissions (does not effect the referred persons commission). And, if they refer someone you will get five percent of that persons total commission.

A new feature that offers you another way to earn money from your ZlioShop is the Adsense. We have all heard of Google's Adsense and you probably already have an account. Now you can have relevant Google ads on your shops content pages. Keep in mind that any monies earned from the Google Adsense will not count as commissions on Zlio.com and will not be tractable through the " my commissions' section of the shop owners website.

Revenue from Adsense will be split sixty, forty. Sixty percent is yours and the rest is Zlio's.

It makes me a little nervous that it is based out of another country, but I have yet to find something bad about Zlio, or anyone claiming to have scammed by them.
