How romantic are the Earth signs Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo and what might be expected in a relationship with one of these signs?

One thing Earth signs aren't (unless other features of their Charts suggest otherwise) is dreamy and idealistic. Far from it! These are the more practical, down-to-earth and sensible signs of the zodiac. In all areas of their life, they tend to be serious but that doesn't mean they are always solemn and industrious. All of these signs can and do enjoy their moments of fun; they do have a sense of humour and they can switch off, especially if the right person comes along to sweep them off their feet!

Taureans for instance are ruled by Venus and they do appreciate the good things in life. In fact they love their little luxuries. They're extremely hard-working but they have a lazy side too and when Taurus isn't in the mood to move themselves, it really is hard to inspire them into action!

Of all the Earth signs, Capricorns ruled by the planet Saturn are the more serious. They can get very depressed when things seem to go wrong and their dark moods can be hard for their loved ones to understand. If you are dating a Capricorn, it won't be easy at first, but don't take it too personally when they get really down and won't talk to you. Eventually they will snap out of it and it is unlikely the problem had anything to do with you.

What's important when it comes to romance for the Earth signs is that their partners do understand their determination and tenacity. All of these signs will want to work hard for a living and will take their everyday commitments very seriously. Often it might seem as if they put other interests before their relationships but this is not so. Taureans crave long-term security. Capricorns are hugely ambitious and Virgos are conscientious. All of these signs are loyal both to their loved-ones and to the commitments they make in their social and working worlds. For them, there is a time for work and a time for play. Rarely will the two combine.

Virgo will be looking for a partner who fills their high romantic ideals and who is in touch with reality. Taurus will crave a passionate and reliable lover. Capricorn is looking for someone with intelligence, common-sense and ambition. They all have their idea of the ideal lover yet they aren't likely to let this become an obsession. If and when they find their Mr or Mrs Right they will be delighted. Until then, there's plenty in life to get on with.

Not one of these signs will be overly aggressive in their search for love even though each will long for lasting romance. Not one of these signs will be overly spontaneous or impulsive when it comes to entering a relationship. Ultimately the Earth signs Taurus, Capricorn and Virgo crave long-term security so why take risks when they would rather choose the more safe and secure romantic options?
